I need some advice-How do I get my baby to hold her bottle?

I am trying so hard to get my daughter who is almost 7 months old to hold her bottle. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can help her?

.....................hmm. well... did you breastfeed? My son totally didn't know how to hold his own bottle. Why the rush? :) Enjoy that closeness you feel/have with your little one (holding them close to you while feeding w/bottle) because it doesn't last long. Her coordination will develop with time. I breastfed until my son was 13 months. He then went straight to drinking out of a straw, and then I'm happy to say at 18 months, he's completely drinking out of cups! :)
I never encouraged the baby to hold the bottle, either. I can't stand it when folks prop up a bottle on a towel or whatever and let the poor baby feed himself.

Feeding is supposed to be a bonding time between baby and parent, and holding the baby while feeding is the best way to do that.

I nursed my boys, too, but the bottles, when used, were on my lap, until they insisted otherwise.
Good luck. Dogs don't have hands.
What an odd question to ask on a dog forum 8O

I don't believe babies of any sort, human or animal should hold their own bottles .
