My name is Marie-Danièle and I'm from Quebec, Canada. Please, be kind with my english. I speak well but I don't write often so... I have a 2 and a half OES. Saku is a perfect dog. He likes to sleep, catch is ball and most of the time... be with us. I'm really in love with this breed and I will always have one in my life. Saku have been an anxious dog when we where not at home. We worked hard and he is now ok. Is little sister had help to. Phoebe is a 1 and a half black miniature schnauzer. She is a small energetic dog who likes to be with is big brother... She is really funny and full of joy. I did some freestyle dancing with Saku and agility with Phoebe. For myself, I am a 26 years old teacher. I like karate (kyokushin), reading and writing (in french). My husband is a musician. We have a cute house near Montreal. I am really happy that I found this website. I only know one women who have a OES... Marie |

Bienvenue au forum ! Bienvenue à la communauté ! Now that I've reached PAST my limit of Français, let me welcome you and Saku and Phoebe in English! Your command of the language is very good. Thank you for sharing your story. How did you help Saku get over his separation anxiety? I am glad that you have found our little corner on the web. |
Beinvenu, Marie-Danielle! Je reste a Quebec pour des annees, avant d"arrive ici, a Ontario.
I will be passing through Montreal next week with my two sheepdogs on my way to New Brunswick and PEI, then on to Nova Scotia. We will wave on our way through! Any construction that we need to be concerned about on the island or should we just go around ? ooking forward to seeing pictures of your pooches! P.S. (1 more week, Brenda!) |
Thak you Ron for your french welcome !!
We worked realy hard to help Saku with his separation anxiety. Saku is my first dog so at the beginnig, he was sleeping in our room. My husband is at home in the day and I am there in the evening, so Saku was never alone. I was always with him... That's how it began... Saku was sick, he was barking, he began to poop in his crate...it was hard to go, knowing he was feeling so bad... To help Saku: he slept in the living room, we started to let him alone for shorts times... then longer... We didn't played with him when he asked it, we worked on Stay. I had giving him some natural product that was helping him to be less stressed. Now, he doesn't need anything. He can stay home with Phoebe for 8 hours or less, free in the house and he feels really fine. |
Welcome Marie-Danielle. Your English is just fine, so don't worry about it. We like pictures and would love see your dogs. |

Welcome. You have done well with Saku. OES is not an easy breed, especially for first time dog owners. If you have questions, we are here to help.
