We really did our big celebrating in Key West. We bought each other wonderful gifts (I got, a diamond palm tree necklace, and Tony got a painting he's wanted for years). So, needless to say, we will not be exchanging gifts. But, I know Tony will be sending me flowers. I'm making a special dinner, and have bubbly in the fridge, ready to go. I'd like to get him something small, just to say, I you. Any suggestions? |

What is his favorite food and what do you cook well? When faced with preparing a special meal for someone I asked what was their favorite, the answer was a special deli sandwich and a beer And that's what he got and was overjoyed.
For my DH it would be either lamb ( ) or lasagna home made. I guess what I'm getting at, you don't need to slave over the stove, just respect their desires. |
I'm going to grill some lobster, shrimp and scallops...very simple, very elegant, and fairly healthy. We both like that! But I'd like to get him something in way of a small gift. |
Look at this site: http://www.poetrygift.com/4th.html
The 4th anniversary gift is linen......whopee The site above suggests framed poetry......if your picture was next to the verse, that might work. Or a picture of you together at a special moment???? |
4th anniversary is fruit (or flowers), according to a few websites I saw.
That's not much help I guess. Unless he really likes fruit, and then maybe the Fruit-of-the-Month club? Harry and David has some GREAT pears... |
Well, there's the internet for ya. How you would research to find out the actualy traditional gifts is beyond me. |
I like fruit better than linen! but then maybe a linen shirt with fruit and flower print ........what are other sites saying?? It would be a weird shirt. |
Maybe I should get him some Fruit of Loom linen boxers!!!! Think I'll take a quick look through our KW pictures and see if there is a nice one of both of us to frame, and give it to him to take to work. (So, he doesn't forget what I look like!) |
I love it!!
Another site lists romantic novels.....Oh, I'm sure he'll love those. And: Hawaiian vacation........there you go! Fruit, flowers, romance and ...never mind. Now for gems it's Topaz and Amythest And yet still: electrical appliance???? Give him a vacuum |

Something small. Well, how about an OES rescue puppy. It's small and it's a gift that keeps on giving. or, a massage? |
Victoria Secret underwear to wear and a huge smile & wink on your face.
Have a wonderful anniversary |
Can't resist , How about Fruit of The Loom briefs???
Sorry, I guess when you are married as long as me (35 years), that is about as romantic as one can get Sue |
Congrats on your anniversary, Deborah and Tony!!! |
Thanks Stacy!!!!! Can't believe how quickly 4 years came and went! My seafood grill is off! We are suppose to have terrible rain/thunderstorms. So, guess we'll be looking for a restaurant after all. Ron, how would you feel if Joan sent you flowers at work, and you worked in an auto dealership, in the service department with all the macho men? Would you get angry? |

As a gift before my wedding, my hair stylist sent me a fruit and chocolate bouquet. They arrange and cut everything so it looks like flowers but then you eat it. It was awesome. It had chocolate covered strawberries and bananas, pineapple, melon and other miscellaneous chocolate and fruit. I remember thinking it would be a nice gift for a man when you were thinking about sending flowers but didn't really want to send flowers, per say. |
I dunnnnnoooooo,
I'd think about having an edible arrangements or flowers delivered to the house rather than the dealership. http://www.ediblearrangements.com/ MI locations: http://www.ediblearrangements.com/locat ... aspx?ID=21 |
Thanks all! I figured it out!!!! I'm sending him pizzas to work for lunch, for he and his buddies. Nothin' embarressing there! I think he'll really like that better than flowers, cookies, fruit or linen boxer shorts!!!!!! |
Great idea!
Can you get the pizza place to draw a flower on the box? LOL |
Ha ha!!!! I don't know, but I told the guy, the delivery person has to wish Tony happy anniversary!!!! |

I agree... wonderful idea!! |
Thats a terrific idea-my husband would love that! I was going to suggest you get something for yourself, that he would enjoy (wink, wink), especially after a bottle of bubbly.
Congrats on your anniversary! |
That IS a great idea....I'll have to remember it since my husband will be working very LONG and hard hours soon... |
Just a thought...(my mind is in the gutter...again)
How about a ribbon around your waist with a pretty colorful bow in front. Hubby could open the bow with his teeth?????? |
Pizza was a great solution!!
Years ago I sent my DH flowers at his office. He loved it! Then again it was an office. The ladies thought he was very fortunate.......the men didn't say much.......probably jealous. |
