The only thing you are doing wrong is you are expecting too much from a 13 week old puppy. They don't even have the muscle control at that point to hold it in if they wanted to. Treating Murphy when he goes appropriately is great  He will soon learn to 'get it' and the accidents will be fewer and farther between. |
| The OES that I had as a teen would do that. We figured that she just got over excited and couldn't hold it. Expecially when my now husband would come over she would lay right down on her back and piddle all over herself. We learned that when he should up we would take her outside and have her pee before he came in the house. |
| My sheepie did peed while laying down just the way yours did. He was about 13 weeks as well. I'm not certain why he did it, but I never saw it again after about 2 times. Don't be concerned about it, just keeping rewarding for going potty outside. |
