It seems like a really good idea actually. What do the directions on the package say? I would assume human instructions would work for dog pads. |
I would think the liquid band-aid would be fine. He must be ouchy if there is rawness. The band-aid should prevent further rawness, but it won't speed the healing process.
Why are you a bad mom for letting him romp? I bet he loved it! |
i would think that it would work just fine...that has happened to panda too....her pads are just too soft to play on concrete and gravel....
just make sure you clean it really well and do a dab of neosporin before applying the liquid bandaide.... |
Hey, how did the liquid bandage end up working? Poor Max partied too hard at the picnic yesterday and he gouged himself up pretty good, too. We Neosporined him up this morning but then after I sent him home, I remembered this post. |
It worked great for us (he walked on his paws like there were no sores), but Frank's sores were more like abrasions vs. gouging, so I don't know how well it would keep together a deep cut. Worth a try though! |

Bad choice of words on my part-- it really isn't a gouge. It's more just "skinned." |
