Take Italian sausage and simmer it in water for about 7-8 minutes. Remove and slice into chunks. .......ok, you are suppose to take the balsamic vinegar and pour it into a skillet and poach the sausages until the vinegar is thick and syrupy and adheres to the sausages. I don't know how much you paid for the vinegar.......so I'll leave it up to you how much you want to use in the skillet and how coated you want those pieces.
Balsamic like you have is delicious over fresh strawberries! Also try a pear half, ball off blue cheese and toasted walnuts with the balsamic drizzled over top. |
Oh oh oh!!! Kelsey's (a restaurant here in Canada, not sure if you have them in the states) has THE best balsamic recipes!!! They are SO amazing!
They have a balsamic chicken (season grilled chicken breast with a creamy balsamic sauce drizzled over it that they serve with long grain wild rice...mmmmm They also have balsamic chicken penne, just the same grilled chicken and sauce served over pasta. I'm pretty sure it's my favorite taste LOL I can't find the recipe now though..... Darcy did you save it anywhere? |

BINGO! Here is what I found....save and/or print it Stace .... Okay, here is the recipie for the balsamic chicken penne or at least similar. I work at Kelsey's so chances are I'm not going to tell you fully how to do it. But good enough. =P It's a trade secret they say. lol Cooking isn't hard. =P HALF-ARSED BALSAMIC CHICKEN PENNE ~Ingredients (Or what I feel like saying. =P)~ 1 fl. oz butter (Special, flavoured butter. =P Use it a lot.) 2 tsp. roasted garlic puree 4 red onion rings (1/4'd) 1oz julienned roasted red pepper 1 julienned baked chicken breast (Complete other recipie to make these chicken packs of their's. Not telling. =P) 2 fl. oz balsamic vinigrette 3 fl. oz (5 fl. oz We use where I work. Tastes/looks better.) whipping cream 2 tsp basil puree 2 oz whole spinach leaves 10 oz cooked penne 1/2 oz some cheese =P 1 tsp. fresh chopped parsley ~Method~ 1) Saute medium heat, garlic, butter, onions, roasted reds, pre-cooked chicken breat for 1 minute. 2) Add balsamic vinigrette, cream. Reduce heat. Add basil puree, spinach. 3) Drain cooked penne well, add to skillet. Toss, coat well. 4) Garnish with various things. Mainly chopped parsley. (Don't feel like writing it. =P) |

I'm a balsamic vinegar fan JUST LOVE IT on everything over summer. Salads, chicken heck just so yummy.
