The last time I said I was pregnant, it was shortly followed by jsmarcus, saulmr, and BP. We all had our babies a few months apart. This time we all caught it from Iriskmj. Scruffy's mom just hopped on board, so there's room for 1 more. I'm telling you... tis the season. If there was ever a good time, I'm betting now would be a good month to check that fertility window Bwahahahahhahaha.... .....cont. evil laugh |

I know who it won't be. |
It looks like Yuki is doing the evil laugh in your avatar!
Hey are you trying to get rid of people? Those people you mentioned hardly EVER go on the forum anymore now that they have babies. I see your evil plan. |

Didn't think about that, as all but 1 (BP) were prolific posters before their wives got pregnant. At least you kept the one with the biggest mouth. I know you guys are all thankful that one korean chick stayed around. |

I also think a certain poster whose username is shared with a purple dinosaur is very quick to jump on these threads. Wonder if our fairydust reaches her this month. I have my fingers crossed for that purple dinosaur girl or another "crafty" female user on this site. |
Keep your fairy dust away from ME!!!!!! |
Been there done that enjoying my freedom from little ankle muppets.
Garden blower on the ready to blow that fairy dust away. |

Oh dear lord it had better not be me. And if it is I will be blaming one of you people. I have to agree, it does seem to happen in groups here. Shellie |

I was going to mention Darcy but thought she might hit me with a shoe! |
Maybe that's why we haven't heard from her this morning. She's got her head over the toilet right now. <...as the rumors begin> |
You guys are too funny. I actually thought up until yesterday that i had caught a littlle of that fairy dust, turns out it was just...dust! But the idea is growing on me more and more. As the hubby would gently remind me- u have at least 3 more years of school left.... Oh well, maybe the next time the fairy dust comes through here i will pick some up Shannon M. |
It had better not be me! I'd have a LOT of explaining to do to the husband if that happened

You look like you're calling for two...
..and packing for two... Wasn't that a 1 day trip??? |
That is so not a lot to me for someone attending someone's wedding and partying (i would think) in the evening. For a day at the zoo, it would be much to me though. |
Joahaeyo wrote: Quote: Note: train Bailey to chase off any suspicious fairy looking creatures bearing dust. some of you are denial. Nope. Two step kids is enough for me. That's why I encouraged my husband to get the vasectomy. So as you can see, getting hit with fairy dust would be quite the conundrum. Wow, I wish I had known that Darcy was expecting. I wouldn't have been pouring all that wine for her on Tuesday |
You can keep your nasty dust away from me too... unless its the baby sheepie fairy!! |

No thanks! |
oh pooh! You just a few years, till that biological clock starts ticking, and all you see when you go out is mommies and little ones!
But you're right, you shouldn't have children just because that's what's expected, or because evryone else is! You should have them for free manual labor! kidding kidding! |
Iriskmj wrote: oh pooh! You just a few years, till that biological clock starts ticking, and all you see when you go out is mommies and little ones!
And that's supposed to make you WANT one? Everytime I run out to the mall at lunchtime (or really whenever) there are a MILLION moms and babies and they are all screaming (yes, both the moms and babies), or if we go to restaurants the kids are either screaming or running around...if anything, I think I'd be more ready to have a kid if I didn't actually encounter any! Kidding. Mostly. |

No thanks! Children ARE NOT the "end all be all" they are cracked up to be. Not everyone HAS to want to have children. I think it makes far more sense for those who dont want them not to have them !! |
I've never been the least bit interested in having my own children. Since I was 13 people have been telling me I'd change my mind and I still feel the same way. I love other people's but that's good enough. Steph's right, too. I feel the same way when I see moms with their screaming kids out in public and I'm so glad that isn't me. I like my life.
I'm really going further on this topic than I meant to, but I also think a lot of people have children for all the wrong reasons. I think many have them because they feel like they should, other people (although they wouldn't admit it) selfishly just can't wait to make more copies of themselves through children, other people take the responsibility way too lightly and others take it much too hard. I also think a lot of other things that I won't share here, lol. |
Maybe some people love their spouses so much that they want to have a child of his/hers...
...and when you get to my age and my wife's age and you start thinking... who'll visit me when I'm old? |

We'll visit you Uncle Ron!!!! |
No fairy dust here...thank you....
That fairy has blessed me enough! I agree not everyone should have kids. And people shouldn't be made to feel like they should have kids. I have four kids....so I did my part for those of you who don't want any I also don't get the whiny kids at the mall with the frustrated moms....my kids knew...if they fussed...we left the mall with NOTHING....and they knew I meant that. |
WizardMerlin wrote: I also don't get the whiny kids at the mall with the frustrated moms....my kids knew...if they fussed...we left the mall with NOTHING....and they knew I meant that.
That's funny you say that. That was how I was raised. I was talking to a friend the other day and I can't remember what brought it up but it came down to her saying, "I'm not leaving the mall/grocery store/restaurant just because my baby is crying. I don't get out a lot, so I'm going to finish what I'm doing. Everyone else can just ignore me." I think that's how a lot of people are these days. And since I don't have kids I don't know how I'd react exactly if something like that was happening, but I DO know that it is pretty hard to ignore a screaming child in a small boutique. |
ButtersStotch wrote: Why would I want to screw up a perfectly good marriage with children? I always find that everyone that is having a baby always wants everyone else to have one too but then everyone with kids is always exhausted and looking for a break! Misery loves company, I think! No thanks!
My feelings exactly and I haven't regretted that decision for one second. |

That's just because they're not well trained. Use that choke chain, folks! Seriously, though, kids can be great. How else could you take pictures like this... maybe rent-a-kid... |

I agree, there are a lot of people out there that should NOT be parents! That doesn't seem to stop most of them though. Bringing a child into the world, or adopting one into your family should be a joyful experience, a decision made with heart and head! Not something you do because you have some sense that it is expected of you, or because you succumb to peer pressure. Being a family is HARD WORK! And so is being pregnant (tiny whine on my hormonal part!!!) So if you don't want to have children, don't feel like you have to. You can always take the nieces and nephews out to the zoo if you feel the parenting urge But that doesn't mean we don't enjoy teasing you a little bit every now and then!!!! |
bring on the teasing...us non-full time/non-existant parental types dont mind....because we can go have a drink, stay up late..and more importantly shop for ourselves whenever we want Nothing was worse than watching my sisters wardrobe deteriorate down to bert and ernie tee-shirts
Bless you full time moms that just love it....but Ill still take stepmotherhood any day |
Won't be me...Max would be very disappointed if he wasn't an only child |
Darcy wrote: Bless you full time moms that just love it... Thank you |
I always assumed that we're all parents here. Its just that some of our kids have more feet than others! |
Even if the pixy dust filtered through my computer, I doubt anything would happen being a sports model and all. (Although I read about a woman of 71 who gave birth).
For those small children out in public running around screaming, I recall a sign in one of our local taverns here: CHILDREN LEFT UNATTENDED AND RUNNING WILL BE TOWED. |
