Hey Y'all !!
 I've missed you and appreciate the PMs from those of you who were wondering where I've been. 
Shortly after getting back from Las Vegas, I experienced some very excruciating pain in my back accompanied by equally excruciating pain in my right leg. A few days and tests later, it was determined to prevent permanent damage, I needed back surgery immediately for a herniated disc that was pinching my sciatic nerve. I'm well on the road to recovery now and hope to be back at work next week where I'll be able to check in more regularly. I cannot wait to catch up and read the stories and see all the photos from Sheepiepalooza and the UK Sheepie Day, as well as get updates on what's up with all of you. I really missed y'all.
The wigglebums are doing very well. I've had a lot of help from my neighbors and family while I've been out of commission, so they haven't been missing much.

| Good to hear from you again!!! Ive missed you!! I only have a small amount of advice for you (brian had the same surgery a few yrs back...)
DONT over do it....he was feeling so much better that he started doing things like picking heavier things up, jogging, etc.....now he is back to where he started from...so take it easy...rest up and no picking up the puppers!! |

| I'm glad you're going to be ok and that you nipped it in the bud. As for catching up - it is going to take a while! I was gone for a week and I don't think I'll ever see everything I missed! |

Oh, no, Tammy!  I just thought you were on one of your great vacations. Having been through THREE herniated disk surgeries, I know all too well the pain you were feeling and am so glad you were able to get it taken care of so quickly. Just take it easy and do whatever the physical therapist tells you!!

Very sorry to hear about your back operation. I know from past experiences that back pain is not something easy to deal with. I wish you a speedy recovery. I'm glad to see that your neighbors are helping out with the dogs. That's awesome! |
I wondered where you went off to, having had a spinal fusion I know it's not fun  . Take your meds like a good girl and you'll feel better sooner. |

| THANKS for the well wishes!! I truly appreciate them very much. Not having much experience with being "laid up", it's been a real learning adventure for me. I am doing my best to follow the doctor's orders. I still have a long list of "thou shalt nots" including cleaning house and yard work. My dad thinks I've bribed the doctor.
The wigglebums have enjoyed having mom home with them all the time. I think they're going to really miss me when I have to go back to work.  |

| Tammy, my husband is also recovering from back surgery......so I know what you've been going through! Follow the MD's advice, no heavy lifting and do whatever exercises they've prescribed for you. He's in water therapy right now plus walking.
Hope you are feeling better! My DH's back pain is mostly gone but the surgery removed enough back and nerve pain it exposed arthritis in the hip. That is proving quite a hurdle. At least they haven't said "replacement" yet. He isn't scheduled to go back to work until the end of the month. (I can't wait) |
