Another OES on Craig's List

Just noticed this beautiful puppy on Craig's list. I believe Shakopee is in Minnesota....

I'd take them all if I could.
send it to Nancy @ MN OES Rescue. she's wonderful!
I just wrote to see how much they're asking for him.
Hmm... I've been talking about someday adding a boy to the pack :)
That would be one lucky boy with six girls!
That puppy looks VERY familiar..... 8O

You'll have to change your screen name:...6 Girls and 1 VERY Henpecked Boy!

He's a cutiepie! :hearts:

small adoption fee applies.

I heard back from the person with the Craigslist sheepie...
" The adoption fee is 450"

I was hoping to get him into rescue with Nancy but the max I've ever paid to give one of these furry kids a better chance outside our home is $125. There are so many $200 to $500 sheepies for sale on PuppyFind that there's no way I could "buy" them all. Bummer but I have to have limits.

Actually, we're on a couple of lists for just the right special needs pup to add to the pack some day... if one should come along.

hehehe... so true!

So if anyone is looking to purchase a sheepie, he's still available. I hope he finds the perfect home.
Did you find out where s/he bought the sheepie, or is this just a breeder pretending to need to rehome a dog?
I don't really know... :?
All I asked about was the price. I figured this boy is most likely not from an
OESCA breeder or he wouldn't be on Craigslist to start. Price was the only
deciding factor for me.

lol, you are something else!!! I can't imagine 7 sheepies. He really is a cutie.
I love this little sheepie, he's sooo cute! :hearts: Can I have him!!??? :ghug:

I would LOVE to have him, it's just a l o n g way for me! lol!

PS: What is a "Craigslist"? Some place in USA where they sell dogs?
Sorry, I dont know!!
I wish you were a little closer!

Craigslist is a website that I would compare to a classified ads section of a newspaper. People can post all kinds of "things" and pets for sale.
...and it's all anonymous, there's no history on anyone, no reliability and is frequently used by scammers because unlike newspapers, it's absolutely free.
You're not allowed to sell animals on there, only "rehome" them for an adoption fee. $450 is way too much for a rehoming fee.

Sigh... thanks for pointing out those lovely aspects of it. 8O The first and only
experience I had with it is when a sheepie was sold there, then resold a
couple of days later (again on Craigslist), then thankfully placed with OES
rescue because that home too was incorrect. :phew:

I didn't know that either... how can people get away with asking that high a
price if those are the rules? :x

Weren't we (the forum) involved in that last leg somehow? (My memory is lousy...)
As we speak, James is meeting some "dude" from craigslist to buy some golf clubs. Let's hope he's not a killer. I hope the guy is ok, too.
Did he take Bear with him??? If not, ummmmm why not?

Bear's stink today would scare anyone away. He'd kill the sale, lol.
This little guy is too cute. I'd love to have another....and good news, the contract is signed on the fence ( my only hold back ). As mentioned I'm a little cautious of free web sites, our local paper has one and there have been alot of pet scams reported ( most have been bulldogs and tea-cup varieties ). I can't understand the logic of these people. Did they not know their schedule, space constraints, grooming requirements, the fact these little bundles of fur grow into huge bundles of fur before they make the COMMITTMENT ????

Ooooooh, yeah. There were SEVERAL individuals who had something to do
with getting that dog in a safe place. Hmmm... I need to remember to ask
how she's doing.

Jill, you are so bad! :D
Just for the record: James came back alive and with golf clubs. I don't know about the other guy.
You need to watch Suicide Kings to see what kind of damage you can do with a golf club!!! Also, there'a a great scene with a toaster too. Gotta love Dennis Leary and his choice of weapons!!

How in the world did I miss this movie? I don't think I
ever even heard of it. Now my curiosity is peaked, I

I have it on VHS. Nothin' but the best, lol. I bought it when it came out so that was all that was available back then. Wait, just checked. James has the DVD. We're back in the 90s!

James and I have been going to the driving range with some friends that are golf freaks. We both found we're pretty good. I figured if I got good, I could quit my job and just golf for money.
No clubbing with the clubs then Jill, control is the answer

HAPPY GOLFING

Stop over, you can borrow it! And you can groom some dogs while you're here!!!
So what is the latest on this guy? Has anyone else got in touch with him? I sent him an email and this puppy is from a breeder and needs to be rehomed soon b/c the owner is going away for a long time (whatever that means).

He also said he would negotiate the $400 b/c he is leaving soon and needs to rehome him ASAP.

Is there anyone in the area that can help?
I clicked on the link and this is what I got:

Hmmm...... :lmt:
I emailed the seller and have been emailing back and forth with him. It sounds like he really needs to rehome the puppy right away and I'm wondering what he will do if no one wants to buy him. Is there anyone in the MN area that can help?
I take it the breeder won't take him back?
