Karen You beat me to it!!!!
I did have a 5 hour drive home though!!! We all had a fantastic day with the exception of George who found the whole experience too much!!! Can't wait for the next one though I think we can't do a count down from now!!! Will post pictures later |
GREAT PICS! So jealous of everyone getting together.
Who is this again? And what is this dog a mix of? Absolutely adorable. Looks like a lot of personality. |
Sheepieday in the UK looked like a great success! All of your lovely sheepies are so beautiful! The sheepies looked like they where having a great time, and Charlie seemed to enjoy the belly rub. I could pick out Kim and Steve really easy with their brand new tans. lol I am so looking forward to more pics and many stories. Rest up you have a lot of uploading and typing to do friends in the UK. lol |
Yep I agree with Vicki we had a great day!!! it went really well for our 1st Sheepie Day. and yes the weather was fine Wooo Hoooo The dogs all had a great time... I think we also walked their legs off too, Mine are fast alseep now lol lol

This is Daisy and she really is a pure breed OES - she just looks very different after her Chemotherapy as she lost so much of her hair! |
OOh it was lovely, I came home at 5.30pm and nearly fell asleep in the car and drove "only" 1 1/2 hrs!!
Charlie looks very tired too and did had a sleep in the car, I really loved the day soo much, it was much better than I expected! I was really pleased to meet everyone, sorry if I maybe still mix up some names (dog and owners ha ha!! ) Kim, it was fantastic organised and I absolutely LOVE to Rosettes and picture frames for all the Sheepies!! What a lovely idea!! I could have stayed longer!!! Just sad we have to wait 1 loooooong year til the next sheepie day! I already uploaded my pictures but I need my son to help me posting them! So my pictures come later today!!! Greetings to all of you and I hope you all had a good trip home!!! 1. UK Sheepie Day |

I thought we would be getting pictures today of Maizie and Hattie! While I am sleeping tonight PLEASE load the software! I am glad a good time was had by all. If I make it over there before the next UK Sheepie Day maybe we can hold a mini one for me so I can hug them all! I am sure that is what Tim would want: a vacation overseas only to see more Sheepies! |
Hello everyone! Thank you for a wonderful day and making us feel welcome even though we don't yet have a sheepie of our own. It was great to meet you and your owners! Thank you so much for the rosette and picture. Chocolate cake was lovely! We have definitely decided to get a sheepie puppy, we fell in love with all the dogs today. All the sheepie hugs and kisses were great. All your advice and tips were very helpful. We've uploaded some piccys, so please take a look. Sorry, we couldn't remember all the names! Looking forward to the next one already, when hopefully we'll be bringing our own. Cassie & Grrrrrreg |
While I can still remember everyone's names....... From the left: (Owners names in brackets) Harley (Elaine - I think - I'm rubbish at this!) Hattie and Maizie (Kim- Old English) Ollie (Kayla - Ollie's Mum) Ted (Lindy) Charlie (Monika - Ellie's Mum) Dougal (Steve - Pepe) Gatsby (Nicola) George (Vicki - Vicki and George) Daisy ( Karen - Daisymog) I think that was everyone! |
Oh how fun! The first thing I noticed is the green grass. What a beautiful setting! We are having a bit of a drought over here, so I am jealous of that!
The pictures are great so far! Keep them coming!! I like this one: I think it's sweet how they're being all gentle and greeting each other with a little nuzzle (or maybe the pic was snapped just in time! ) |
What a great get together, love the group shot of everyone, fun fun fun time by all by the sounds of it.
Now only another year to go for the next one Great to see daisy there, she looks wonderful especially with all that she has been through, what a special day for her and being able to go & meet up with all the other sheepies. |
Nothing like a bunch of Sheepies romping together. Glad you had good weather and a good turnout. Loved the pictures. |
Whew I guess I can stop doing the sunshine dance now huh? What a great day and time it looks like you all had. I see the secret sheepdog sniff extended all the way from the states to the UK. |
Do you really HAVE to wait until next year? Why not have a "spring" and "fall" gathering?
Love the photos! |
thanks everyone for posting your photos and it looks like you had a great turnout and good weather to boot. |
What great pictures! Looks like a very fun time. |
First thing I did this morning was download pictures lol It was such a fantastic day, and so great to meet you all and of course the doggies. I loved the walk round the park, chatting sharing stories and getting you know you all. I still laugh everytime there was a bit of water and you just knew Dougal would be in there - bless him.
Took us 2.5 hours to get home, not bad really, the dogs collapsed in the kitchen and Dave & I collapsed in the chair So thank you Kim for finding a fab venue and picture plaques and thank you Karen for the rosettes and a BIG thank you to Lindy for bringing fab gooey chocolate cake, yes I know I had the last slice, it was hard work, but someone had to lol Right, sod the work today, gotta go down loads the pictures Oh yes about 9pm Ollie and Jack were barking at Dave for walkies, can you believe it !!! |
What a lovely day. I can only repeat what everyone has already said. Really looking forward to next year, Rob and I really enjoyed meeting everyone and Ted thought he was in heaven, (sorry for the people he peed on he has never done that before, just so excited!)

hahahahaha I just love that Teddy Edward! I'm glad you had a good time. |
I'm sure we'll all let Ted off for peeing on us. He did it so sneakily, came up for some attention and while you said hello, then cocked the leg. No harm done but after the 3rd time we realised to watch the leg!
Gatsby slept all the way home, and then all night, fantastic. I think he was little over whelmed by it all. He normally runs round like a mad man, but he just wasn't sure what to make of all the other sheepies, but he did like the chocolate cake that was let on the table. Glad you finished it off Kayla otherwise it was going to be hard work to keep Gatsby away. It was a great day had by all, and I'm happy to say Andrew (my other half) was extremely jealous that he didn't come with me (due to work commitments), and hopes to make it next year to meet you all. Hope to get the pictures uploaded tonight. |
I've up-loaded all my pictures, I've done nothing all day really apart from look at everyone elses - lovely lovely lovely xx |
ahhh that is lovely sheepie Daisy, can't you tell she is pure breed Joahaeyo ? bless her little hear though, she's had lots of chemo, as Karen said |
Daisy did well to make the day after all she has been through!!
We had a lovely time and it was great to meet her!! |
Thank you all for the nice things you've said about Daisy. I was very glad she was well enough to make it as I wouldn't have missed it for the world! Can't believe its raining today - those sun dances certainly did the trick! Just uploaded the last of my pictures - just waiting for approval. I've decided I didn't take enough. Can we all go back again next week so I can take some more?? |
Daisy have done soo well, she walked and walked and walked! Great girl!
It's raining at yours? We had sunshine today but a bit cloudy too! Would love to have another meeting next week! We should do this more than just once a year!! PS: Great pic you took from Charlie getting her belly rub ha ha! |
WOW! I'm jealous I couldn't fly over there! It looked like everyone had a fabulous time! |
The pictures all look great when you have a look through them together in the album!!
Can't wait for the next one!!! |
Oh how fun! I love love love all the pictures! |
Looks like everyone had a fine time Karen, Daisy looks really great and I'm glad you were able to go. |

Does Maggie have a water-lovin' soul mate in the UK? As for Teddy the pee machine..........little George had better be careful. This desert dweller looks at all that green stuff in utter amazement.....how nice to have a beautiful green background for such lovely dogs. You'd think maybe the dogs might have originated there, they look so perfect in that setting |
