Good Luck! |
Well waiting on someone from the herding test to send me pictures. So she barely passed! Put a big red nose on her and big shoes! she was a goof! If people weren't laughing at her they were laughing at me trying to get the sheep moving! When we first got into the right she walked up to them then turned and high tailed. No other dog did this even the really small ones. I was horrified! But deep down I felt this would happen. Which is weird because she isn't afraid of stuff. But eventually we had her going and she got the sheep out of the corners twice so she managed to just pass. I was told she needs more confidence. Oh well I read some where they are the clowns of the dog community. She was certainly silly. Maybe when she is older we will try again. Stay tuned for pictures. Maybe someone took video that would be funny! |
Video would be great! I'm sure she'll improve with time. Lots of new sights and sounds and SMELLS! |
She just did it her own special sheepie way.
And she passed Yay for Laika! |
That is great!!! A pass is a pass.
I have found that some dogs take multiple exposures to the stock before they "turn on". If you like doing herding (or think you will!) keep at it. |
Congratulations Laika |
Congrats! That is exciting. |
Great going Laika, you passed so YAY, take it from me not all sheepies have that natural instinct, one of my girls brothers went and would not come out from behind his moms legs. The sheep went Baah and he retreated not to be moved from behind there . EVERYONE at the Herding instinct testing day could not stop laughing at the big hairy whimp.
So well done Laika, you passed . |
