Poor Maxie Paws has a bad bladder infection....
Last night he seemed so pitiful. Had his " I just don't feel well" face on- and didn't want any cheese, so we knew he was ill. I took him out - and made sure I looked closely when he peed- and sure enough it was cloudy and strong 
He went to the doctor this morning. Bladder infection. He is on antibiotics. We should have been more aware before he got so sick. 
The vet was pleased with his mobility though. He got a laser treatment while he was there- and a lot of hugs from the staff. |

| Aww poor guy. Its never any fun to be sick. My vet says for prevention of UTI's and Bladder infections ( if they occur a lot) put a little bit of cranberry juice in the water - just so its pink, every other day and it stops them from coming back. We tried that with Bree - she gets a lot of both and since I have been doing it she hasn't had one in about 3 months. Knock on wood.
I'm so glad that his mobility is good though. At least you got one plus for the day. |
Aww poor Maxie Boy! He really just keeps following in Chumley's footsteps -- Chum just completed a course of antibiotics for a urinary tract / bladder infection. She kept waking me up in the middle of the night to pee and I was afraid the Deramaxx was affecting her kidneys but it was just an infection. I felt bad too because it was a couple of days before I realized I should take her to the vet. . . Anyway, she is fine now and Max will be too. Hugs to your sweet boy!  |

Cranberry is great for UTI/bladder Problems, tablets, capsules or juice. 
Being on Anti-biotics might also recommend Yoghurt into his diet or a probiotic capsule to help keep everything in balance as anti-biotics affects the good flora in the gut/bowel. When ever any of mine are on anti-biotics I always give extra probiotics till treatment is over with. |

| I hope he is feeling better soon. I live in Ohio. This heat is not fun for people or animals. If it is this bad now what will the poor dogs do in August? Hope he gets well soon. |
