While we were in Key West, we went on the haunted ghost tour. Somehow....I think Robert has something to do with my computer problems!!! http://www.squidoo.com/dollrobert/ |

I have always wanted to visit Key West. Now I am not so sure!
Did you go by and see him in the window? |
He's no longer at The Artist House (that is what they call the Otto's house). One of the owners had him moved to the Martel Museum. Apparently, he's still causing trouble there. People who go and see him and try to take a picture of him (without asking nicely first) lose their film, or he drains the battery in their digital camera. Story goes, some man took a picture of Robert (without his permission), and then took his vacation pictures on the rest of the roll. When he had it developed, there were 26 copies of the Robert's picture. He asked the photo clerk why he printed that so many times, and it turned out every picture on the roll had turned into Robert's picture! We will be visiting Robert next year, at the museum, and I plan on being VERY polite! Key West is one of the most haunted places in the US. It is so cool, I love that sort of stuff! |
I think it's all about The Sunset at Key West
Be sure to click on "The Sunset" near the bottom of the page to see pics of the sun melting into the ocean. Maybe Robert caused that. |
I couldn't find the sunset.
I did realize that I didn't scroll down enough to see all the cool stuff about Robert. Will have to go and check more out. I did vote.... I am keeping an open mind. |
On the sunset pictures, if you see the bricked area...our timeshare is adjacent to that. All the cruise ships MUST be out of the area by 6 pm so they don't block the sunset. I think we have some sunset pictures on our flickr site. Pictures never can capture how gorgeous it is, or the wonderful feel in the air at Mallory Square. http://www.flickr.com/photos/debcram/51 ... 278875065/ The island in front of the sunset is called, Sunset Key. Very exclusive. My understanding it that Ophrah and Tom Selleck have homes there. |

Anyway, here's a direct link to The Sunset |

Pirate has a fleecy, gingerbread boy doll that he loves. We named his doll, Robert. So far, he doesn't seemed possessed! Although, Pirate does seem under his spell! |

BOO!!!
Robert did it! |
Thanks for the sunset link.
I see what you mean. Absolutely beautiful. Interesting, I wondered why the cruise ships leave so early and don't stay for the nightlife. Can't wait to go to Key West! |
They have to leave, because where they dock, they would block the sunsets. But, they are leaving through the Gulf, so they get magnificent sunsets of their own from the ships. As for the Key West nightlife...its not very sophicated, just pretty loud and drunk! They probably have better options on the ships! |
Thanks a lot Deb,
I had nightmares about Robert last night! Stupid voodoo thread |
You dare to call voodoo stupid in public?
Loud and drunk, but in a laid back kind of way...? |
Ron wrote: Loud and drunk, but in a laid back kind of way...?
I know, I know...sounds contradictory, but its true. The key to laid back drunkiness, is to start drinking as soon as you wake up, and just keep a steady buzz going all day . If you go overboard, its know as getting "KeyWested". (Been there done that!) |
Ron wrote: Loud and drunk, but in a laid back kind of way...? Exactly what I was thinking. Sounds good to me! |
