| i can honestly say its one of the most tranquil, beautiful places I have ever been too. its not called Big Sky Country for nothing.. and talk about blue skies..
makes me smile just remembering it all.. |
| Beautiful area!! Glacier Nat'l Park just up the road, still farming (peppermint if I remember correctly) in the area.....rolling meadowy hills to the west, big lake to the south.......nice quiet little town. Not in timber, more like a meadow. Still has some nice older homes, the area has history.
Long dark winter days (but those of you in northern area, that's common. Summer days long, wonderful. Snowy in winter, but then there is a nice ski area just north of town. Missoula is to the south, about an hour or less. Missoula miserable in winter due to air inversions and smog for weeks. |
| From what I remember, Kalispell is a very nice place. It has been quite a few years since I've been there to visit but I have a friend that still lives there. |

| Is this a visit or to live?? If to live, you might want to look in White Fish for homes as they are more timbered......it's just, what 10 miles away, not that far....it all runs together up there. More like Evergreen used to before it became Denver West. I didn't mean to make it sound like a bunch of old homes, there are plenty of new homes around. There's a wilderness to the east of town so can't expand too much east, north is the park, south is the lake and west is the rolling hills......if I remember that's where many new homes can be found.
I love it up there! In the summer, I'm addicted to sunlight so couldn't take the winters. |

| I think at first this will be a visit to see what it is like. I heard so much about the area and somehow have never visited. I could and would be intersted in a move but that will be a little later. Yes my boy will be riding as always he has to see the world as well (belated b-day present). He likes it in the back with the windows open on the camper shell. He has his bed (one of three), water and an extra travel dish for food.
I really would just love to see the area around Kalispell. I have been researching the area online the last few weeks. Barbara I will be in touch. Do you have a sheepdog? |
| I live in Anaconda, Southwestern part of the state. Had family in Kalispell and visited it every year while growing up etc.
I breed/show sheepdogs, have for many, many years. Kalispell has many things to do, hiking, boating, skiing, etc. Clean air! Mountains, rivers, fishing. Barbara |
