Back from Riviera Maya
Karma paid me a visit (after all the B.S. I went through with passport) and Billy and I got upgraded to first class. We had so much fun I barely realized we were on the plane for 4 hrs. We land, get our luggage and into the Van to the hotel and all of a sudden it's pouring rain. It rained so hard the roads were completely flooded. A truck had skidded of the road a short while before we arrived and I look at Billy and he looks at me.... I say is that snow on that windshield? It was melted hail. They had a freak storm, they say it happens once in 15 yrs. By the time we got to our resort, some 60 miles south of Cancun, the rain had stopped. We met with Billy's boss and his wife, had some drinks, got something to eat, went to the nightly show then off to bed. We had a blast. We were going to go off the resort to see the Mayan Ruins and a few other things, but my pain stopped me and the fact that all of these trips involved quite a bit of walking. There were so many things to do at the Resort there was absolutely no reason to leave. They even had a mall. Billy and I renewed our wedding vows Friday morning on the beach as the son was coming up....just the two of us, nothing official. I would have taken pictures, but the batteries died as soon as I set up the camera. We spent most of our days either at the beach or at the pool or floating by the pool bar. 4 out of 6 nights we had reservations at the restaurants at the resort. All the food was amazing.....even the buffet. I am so tan that Billy said immigration might give me a problem trying to leave the country. lol Rags had a fun week at Aunt Cindy's Kennel, but Pepsi was very mopey, depressed and quiet. I knew he would probably have a problem with it. He is mad at me.... He keeps staring at me, but has been avoiding me.  I'm sure he'll get over it. Lacey got fat at my parent's house. She was there with my sister's dog and Lacey ate every bit of food that was put out.
The kids had a great time with my parents and my sister. I don't even think they really missed us. They kept the kids very busy! I would have loved to stay longer, but I did miss my kids, fur and furless. I am happy to be home.

That trip looks like so much fun. It's nice that you never needed to leave the resort. Sometimes those are the best trips, even though you feel like you 'should' go see something of historical interest! *Sigh*...Now you have me dreaming of sandy beaches...  |

Thanks for sharing!!! You guys look like you had such a blast. That must have been SO much fun! Was this a "business" trip??? Mike and I were thinking of going with baby bean down there in a year or two. Now I've GOTTA GO!!! Hayley looks adorable in the wingies! I bet she loved the ocean |

As soon as all the pics are uploaded I'll start a picture thread. Karen, This was a trip Billy won at work for hitting a certain amount of sales. We were childless for the trip. We needed a break from being Mommy and Daddy for a little while. The kids stayed with my parents. The picture of Hayley was taken in our backyard earlier in the month.
Billy's boss and his wife were there too and they brought their kids ages 14 and 5. Their kids had a blast. They have a waterpark there for kids 12 and under. Also they have a camp there and babysitting service available. There were a lot of people there with kids, very family friendly. If Billy wins the trip again next year we may take the kids with us. I guess Billy's boss can write off the trip as a business trip since he and Billy did discuss business. Billy's boss's family was there for two weeks. They arrived a week before us. There were two salesmen that one the trip. The other guy and his wife were there the week before us. |
