Whew... what a weekend!
We agreed to "help" my Mother-in-Law with her Alumni banguet- she is 80 and the group is that age and older 
Our help turned into cooking for 89 people- and serving- and cleaning up and .. and .. and... This was last night ( Saturday) This just happened to fall on the same weekend that they were dedicating the Veterns Monument in Marysville. We laid a brick in honor of my Father- in- Law- and the dedication ceremony was yesterday at 11:00. We attended that with my in -laws and then went home to start the cooking for 89 people. Menu- Porkloin- Augratin Potatoes and Glazed Carrots- with Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. Set up- serve @7:00- clean up and home by 11:30. Today- Sunday... reception at our house for My Father-in-Law to celebrate the unveiling of the monumnet and to honor him for his dedication and loyalty during WW11. Total RSVP's - 67. Menu- Finger sandwiches- meatballs- rumaki- relish's -salads- cheese straws- cake.... 67 RSVP'd- we had 92.... It was a beautiful day and my Father-In-Law- who is 84 was brought to tears by the outpouring of friendship, respect and love, that was shown to him today. We are proud of him- and are so thankful that we were able to do something special to honor him. But... with that said.. we are EXHAUSTED

I was involved with a Senior Center for several years and know how rewarding all that hard work can be at the end of the occassion, BUT to do it for SENIOR FAMILY members, what an honor and blessing for you - even with all the hard work!
