She was upset and deicded that, after having him for four years, she wanted to bury him instead of a flush job. When she looked closer, she saw his mouth moving just a tiny bit though he was still on his side. At this stage, she decided to leave him a little longer to see what would happen. An hour later, when I came downstairs, both Statler and Waldorf were swimming around happily. Do goldfish have nine lives? |

LOL, I am glad Lazarus is doing well. My betta, Jaws, did that as well on some days. I have no idea what it was about. He lived 2 1/2 years and it was very sad to see him go. He is resting along side Marshmallow the parakeet. Stormi and co. |
Sometimes fish can get ick, a gross fish thing, (sorry about the extremely technical definition).
Another thing is that they can get an air bubble or some sort of junk stuck in their respiratory system. If you put them in a smaller container w/fresh water and give them a little wiggle on their tail/kickstart them it can help clear it. The intellectualism of my post is amazing. |
My Sheepy Max ended my last Beta's life by climbing on the arms of the sofa (he thinks he is a cat) and then reaching the plants that hang out of the vase with the fish in it. I woke up one morning at 4am to a loud crash and the walked out to the family room and found max starring at the vase that had crashed to the floor with all the stones etc. The beta was still alive, and I quickly put him in water, but he died 2 days later. I think it was the shock and the water that ended up killing him. I know have another one and so far max has not touched him. |
i had 2 goldfish in a bowl that just seemed to keep dying, one must've crossed rainbow bridge about 9 times. they both lived long happy lives much past the days of dying, so...who knows. |
