I'm a new person here at the OES Forum. Actually Rasta is my 3rd Bobtail and trully I cant live anymore wothout a sheppie. My first Bobtail was recued from a local official kennel and I loved it from the moment I saw him. He was blind so nobody wanted him, but that wasn't a problem for a teenager as me who loved so much this unique breed. Unfourtunally we spent just four months togheter as he was Leshmaniose and we prefered to end his suffering. But I cried and cried (yé, its true....big man also cry when needed!!!) and my father bought me a bitch from a portuguese breeder. Lola spent his hole life with me and she was just my daughter. We lived twelve good years. A couple of years ago I married and we had a baby, to joint us. My wife also had a kid for the firts wedding so I thought it was time for another Bobtail in our lifes. Unfourtunally we haven´t enough money to buy a puppy and with a kid we couldt arrisk to get a rescued dog from a public kennel. Thanks to internet and a friend we got a two year bitch named Rasta, the same age of my son. They are just like twins as they don´t live without each other. In the beggining there were difficult times cause baby and dog bite each other. Actually we don´t bother much if Rasta bites our baby, as we has to learn to leave Rasta's own space. I don´t know how to put some images..... :( Thanks for loving OES as I do!!! |

Hi!
What a great story! Thanks so much for taking in a 2 year old dog! Still be careful with your dog and your baby. Welcome to the forum! |

Welcome to the forum.
Posting picture information is found under the FAQ's section. We love pictures! My brother and sister in law had a exchange student from Portugal stay with them for a year. She called our little miniature pinschers "sample dogs". |
Wonderful story! |
