Thankfully the 4 dogs i have now love the car! About 4 am monday morning we lost our home to a fire. It was an older mobile home and the fire spred very quickly. My son the quick thinker told all the dogs "outside" and "car car" once they were outside he opend the car and they all jumped right in and everyone is fine. Put the dogs in the yard at work. It is small but it will work for now. I've never been so gratefull for hour long ice cream trips with the 'kids' cher |

Cher,
I am so sorry to hear about the fire. Did you have insurance? Is there anything we can do to help long distance? |
Oh, I am SO sorry. I'm glad that everyone made it out okay. |
I am so sorry for the loss of your home. That is terrible. Your son is a one smart guy, and I'm so glad everyone made it out safely.

Cher,
I am so, so sorry to hear about your house fire! Thank heavens for the quick thinking of your son! I'm so releived to hear everyone is ok We've just been going through this with my grandparent's home, trying to escape being burnt in a wildfire. Let us know if there is anything we can do! |
I'm sorry to hear about the fire- thank goodness everyone made it out ok! |
Cher,
So very sorry to hear of the news of your house fire. Happy to hear that everyone is ok. We are here for you, please let us know if we can help long distance. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family......... |
Thank goodness all the people and dogs made it out. The dogs sound like they did great - as well as your son - in a time of stress!
I hope you are able to get your life back together soon. My Bil and SIL had a house fire - it was bad, but they also made it out OK as well as all the pets. |
OMG how scary! I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your home.
Glad everyone made it out okay. |
OMG OMG OMG!
What a great quick thinking son! HE's a keeper! I'm glad you're all ok, be SWURE to let me know if you think the forum can help. |
So far everything is going better than expected. My son has a very odd sleeping schedule, teenagers you know, and was awake at four in the morning otherwise we wouldn't be so lucky.
I found some pictures and a few memento that made it. I cried when we found Bubba's and Bella's urns chared but ok. . My sons rat didn't make it. We didn't have insurance. The mobile home was quite old and we couldn't get any. We do own the lot so maybe one day i'll have the dog house of my dreams. (i always tell people i work to buy dog food and put a roof over their head) The whole town has pulled together to clothe and feed us. Hawthorne is really a wonderful small town with alot of good people. Taking a week at least off work till I can figure out what to do with the dogs during the day. They can be at the shop at night (my husband and i are taking turns staying the night with them) but during the day is not good. My Madison doesn't like other dogs at all. And sometime the dogs that come in don't like other dogs. On a light note the kids broke the water line to the swamp cooler at the bar next door to my shop and had quite a good time playing in the mud before i realized what they had done. looking forward to when things are back to normal again! Thank you all for offering to help out if we need but right now we really are doing ok. My son and four leggeds are ok and i couldn't want for more. Cheryl, Corey, Erised, Madison, Coal and Tessa |
Wow! This was not at all what I was expecting to read when I selected this post. Holy Moly. I am so glad everyone is ok. Your son is a hero and your town sounds amazing. Best wishes getting through this. My oh my. Your attitude is amazing. |
Hi Cher,
I always wondered where in Nevada you lived. Is Hawthorne very far from Las Vegas? Since I might be the closest to you, is there anything I can do to help you? I am sorry for the loss of your home and what you are going through. I am amazed at your courage and positive attitude. Thank goodness, you, your family and animals are fine. I am sorry about your Son's rat! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you. |
Cher,
We're so sorry for the loss of your home and your sons pet! But, we're soooooo thankful that you, your family and the dogs made it out safely, which is the most important thing!!! Your attitude and outlook are amazing, but I'm not surprised. You're a good person, with a strong, loving heart! I thank the Good Lord you're all safe!!! I have your address. Is that the same one you're using now? I have something I'd like to send you. God bless you and your's!!! Pam |
Las Vegas sheepie lover Hawthorne is about 5 1/2 hours away not a bad trip when you can stop in Beatty (sp?) for goodies. If i get in a bind I'll holler loud. I promise.
When you can go to sleep at night and all the kids are safe and asleep on top of you that is all that matters in life. cher |
cher,
I'm at loss for words! My heart goes out to you. Your attitude is amazing. May your strong heart carry you and your family; 2 and 4 pawed, through this. susan |
