Sunlight in their eyes

Moxie seems to be a little bit light sensitive in bright daylight and we've always kept the hair short around her eyes (we are not showing her) because it seemed to decrease her clumsiness. But, now we wonder if the hair should be longer to protect her eyes??

PS All the hair over eyes posts seem to be about how to keep it long and neat with barrettes, etc. So please forgive the sort of duplicate post.

Thanks!

Have you thought about doggles? :D

Those are hilarious! I didn't know they existed...may need to try them, but i think that Moxie will HATE them. She's not a big fan of things on her face :-)

Any thoughts on the long vs short hair over her eyes? Are sheepdogs supposed to have their eyes covered? My 82 year ol father in law (and owner of three OES over the years) says yes, but my book says no...
I'd heard yes, their eyes need to be protected from the sun if the skin around their eyes is pink - because it could get sunburnt. Don't know how true that is.

You could try letting the hair above her eyes grow a little longer so she has a sun visor, but keep it trimmed so she can still see okay.
