WE ARE!!!!!! |
When is it?? Do I smell "ROAD TRIP?" |
The picnic is sat may 19 (the week before sheepie paloozia) I am staying at the red roof inn in Trevose as most are I think. There is an informal meet and greet (and drink I think) friday night Chad has planned this IluvmyOES it is in an older post. The guy that is doing the Pizza for this is into GSD rescue (I love them sheppies!!!) |
Yes! Roadtrip time! We are all set for another picnic, and to make a clarification... we do sip a little bit at the meet and greet event on Friday night! Saturday we plan to start at 11, but everything is very informal so everyone is welcome to show up as they are able. I'm putting the final touches on the food order this week, so if you think you may join us let me know. Please invite any sheepie folks who might be interested.... the more the merrier! |
We're crawling out of the woodwork to say we're planning to also be there Saturday. It's 3 hours from Nyack, so we stay at my mother's for the weekend, and the morning drive is quite a bit less. Is there an interest in having "Rides for Rescue" again this year? For those who haven't been, I bring Dudley's dog cart, and for a donation to Rescue, we give rides to adults my size and under and also to the kids. In years past, I've matched the donations, and the money has been split between NEOESR and OESRSE. There are some photos of Duds pulling the cart at http://www.dogdriving.com In case we miss anyone next weekend, we'll also be attending the NEOESR picnic on June 9th. ~Katie & Duds. |

Just want to chime in that Dudley's cart rides were very popular last year. Kids of all ages seemed to love it. |
Hey, so what happens in case of bad weather? I checked the forecast, and it looks like low 60s and chance of showers. Boooo... Reminds me of the first year I went to the NEOESR picnic. It rained, was cold and wet, and I was dogless... ~Katie. |
Hey katie -
Where do you get the dog carts? They look perfect for my granddaughters little pony. Teddy is only 39 inches tall. |
The dog sulky I have was imported from Australia - and people with tiny ponies do use them for driving. http://rjwalsh.com.au/mini/index.htm is the website. They're very well made, but not exactly cheap... ~Katie. |
We will be able to stay dry under the pavilion. Wish the forecast was better, but such is Spring. We'll make the best of things, I'm sure. I'm off to secure some more beverages for the Barktail party tonight, see you soon! |
Okay, I'll admit it. The forecast of rain and over 20 hrs. of driving time for a two day stay DID cause me to wimp out on the Philadelphia OES Picnic at the last minute.
I hang my head in shame. Our apologies to Chad and the other brave souls who obviously made the picnic a success. Sorry Deb & Mandy.... Thanks to 4dognight (Cindy a.k.a. Zsa Zsa) I can live vicariously through her photos. Cindy & Guinness. (Too uppity to stay at the Super 8 Motel) The group shot we were NOT a part of Guinness sporting his new bow tie Guinness ready to hit the road I PROMISE we won't wuss out of Sheepiepalooza, rain or shine. |
Thanks for the link, kayti. |
