nothing beats a good old fashion casserole...an easy one which kids like is this....

cook 1 lb ground beef, one onion chopped, 2 stalks celery chopped
boil 1/2 bag of elbow noodles...

drain noodles and mix with ground beef mixture...

add 1 lg can of diced tomatoes, can drained mushrooms, 1 can of tomato sauce and one can of tomato paste...

chop some cheddar cheese (about half a block)...mix all the stuff together....add salt pepper and garlic powder to taste.

put in a pyrex or oven safe bowl and heat thru no lid at 350 for about 35 minutes....

I serve it with garlic bread and a salad....but the main dish has always been eaten by all kids.....

ps...what kind of twins...boys, girls, one of each...identical?? Im an identical twin....its hard on the mother, but awesome for us
I agree. Casseroles are good because even if they don't eat them that night they can be frozen or reheated later.

Things like home-made mac and cheese is always good, or veggie lasagna...
Meatloaf, tuna casserole, baked chicken pieces (especially wings and drumsticks for the kids). Anything that can be reheated. Maybe a big tossed salad or pasta salad. Those would keep in the fridge for a day or so. Cookies!!!!!! (for dessert, although I've been known to have cookies for dinner).
Although...those foods are easy to make, but after I just popped out 2 kids, I think I'd want to start eating healthy to get my figure back!

Salad is a great idea, along with the baked chicken...maybe a small side dish of mac and cheese for the kid.
If she's a nursing mom, how about some good stuff to drink? I have twins, and I remember being constantly thirsty! Homemade lemonade, fruit drinks, teas.... :D Ours were born May 10th - almost the same time of year. But 23 years ago! 8O
This is great..sooooooo tender...& can be sreved hot or cold.
CHICKEN RECIPE
I hope that you enjoy this super easy chicken/cornish hen or duck recipe:

Mix 1 can cranberry sauce with berries
       1 pkg onion soup mix
1-12 oz bottle of salad dressing-I use Pfeiffer's caesar

Pour over chicken parts and coat well...you can marinate in the refrigerator overnight if you have time...

Bake in slow oven 325 degrees or so for a LONG TIME...the sauce will thicken and darken and the chicken will get so soft that you can chew on the bones.
Ok...this may be a "Jewish" thing, but, nothing beats a brisket. Easy, easy easy!

Get a 5 pound brisket, put it in a deep roasting pan. Put halved red potatoes around it. Cover everything with a packet of Lipton's Onion soup (the dry stuff), and a 1/2 - 1 cup of water (pan should have water about 1/4 of the way up the sides. Cover tightly with heavy duty alum. foil.

Bake at 300 for 25 minutes per pound.

When it comes out, it will be too soft to slice, so you don't have to bring it to them right away. After it cools, slice and reheat. It reheats GREAT! Oh! it will make a wonderful gravy!

And.......bring a loaf of good bread, cuz cold, it makes delicious sandwiches! (And of course a salad.)
