Please don't let it be
Yesterday, I was dealt a blow that I realized is beyond my control. My youngest son had been ill and yesterday was rushed to the hospital. He is currently on morphine and the C word was mentioned. We now have to go through a specialist and more test. Please send your positive thoughts our way. I may not be able to respond as I currently don't have a working computer but I know sheepie people have the best vibes.

I'm sorry to hear your son is ill. The "C' word is very scary, but they've come a long way with treatments. My younger brother had it in his kidney in his early 20's. He's now 44. A younger sister had it in her early 30's, uterus, a tumor the size of a grapefruit. She's now 50. God be with you, your son and your family as you deal with this, keeping you all strong in faith. My computer access is sporatic (sp) but from what I've been told by the doctors at the hospital is that 40 % chance it is, but on the more positive side means even higher 60% chance it isn't. I am remaining positive ...well trying to be anyhow. He will be seeing more specialist in the upcoming days and I have been told we will know more info by Monday. Thanks so much for your kind thoughts and well wishes.

This disease has been associated with testicular cancer, cryptorchidism, infertility and intraepithelial germ cell neoplasia. ( I don't understand what all of this means) but have been doing research to get a better understanding of what we are dealing with. I'm copying what the hospital wrote down. He's a young guy and of course this news is very hard for him to deal with. Marianne |

I really appreciate all your kind thoughts and notes. Thank You! The waiting for answers has been the hardest, but seems like we're still going to play the waiting game. The specialist will be doing some exploratory surgery which the hospital has to get back to me on the date. That's where we are at the moment.
