I'm unwrapping cheese. Where does Oscar crash? Right in front of the pull-out garbage bin. I need to get the pie out of the oven. Where is Oscar? Laying directly in front of the oven door. I'm making dinner and need a cutting board. Where is my little buddy? Directly in front of that cabinet. Never fails!!!!! I have a large kitchen, so it's not like he doesn't have any options. There is no reason that I can fathom for Oscar to pick one spot over the other. There are a million places he could nap, but invariably, he does it right where I'm headed. He must have ESP - extra sheepdog perception! Any other "perceptive" sheepies out there??? |
|
lol....panda and oscar MUST be related......she does the exact same thing! |
Yep, here too with Chewie. And if he wasn't there before, we worms his way in after I get there! |
LOL-Oliver doesn't have ESP, but likes to lay right beside me, so I always have to step over him to get where I need to go. I have a small kitchen though, so when he gets big, he'll always be where I need to go! |
Try five of them! I've got a couple trained to stay out of kitchen, but that leaves 3 who think they need to: clean up crumbs from the floor, test everying especially cheese, sleep in front of frig or stove.
Then I try to step down out of the kitchen and there are the other two, each sleeping at a kitchen exit. ....and woe be if I need to get to the bathroom quickly, Harry parks his butt at the hall's beginning, effectively blocky entrace to hall and bathroom...... Finally a night the hall is littered with dog bodies..........hrumph |
With 4 sheepies it doesn't matter where you go, what you are trying to do, one or two of them is right there. |
YES!!!! Mine are like shadows and Foz is worse than Annie. Everywhere I go, there he is! |
Mojo always knows exactly where I want to vacuum.
He can't move to where I've already swept, he has to go right in front of it. |
And they know exactly when you are about to make the bed, too, because they have to jump lay down on it. |
My dog tellme that they do it incase I drop something. They want to be there to quickly eat the offending food before I step in it and slip and fall. So they are just looking out for you. |
Barney does it!
He'll either be lying down behind me while I'm cooking or doing dishes so I'll forget he's there and almost fall... OR He'll be in front of the pantry/fridge/dishwasher/drawer that I need. So then I'll either try to open the drawer and sort of slide him out of the way or I'll make him move, and he'll somehow know to go to the next location I'll need to get into. |
Izzie is psychic too. Always where I plan on being next. The worst is the stairs....has to stay in front, but stops every two steps to see if I am still following |
Everywhere I go there is a Sheepie standing in my way, or sitting in my spot. |
When I get up to walk - Piper likes to be right in between my feet walking along with me |
Must be a sheepie trait! Drez does it as much as her weak hips will let her, especially in the kitchen! |
We sometimes call Breena the Flash because she can be sleeping one minute and under your feet the next. |
Ah yes, now I remember why I gated off the kitchen! So I can cook in peace. Of course, pippin's not in there, but the kitty girls are. They're happy to "try out" that batter, or "help" you open that can of tuna!
Pip always takes my spot on the couch, or in the bed! I'm heading to sit down or go to sleep and BAM there's a sheepie in my spot! Excuse me??? Doesn't it isn't nice to take a pregnant lady's spot? |
So glad that I am not alone! And I thought ONE sheepie was bad!
Laurie and Oscar |
