Well... we had horrible storms here in Ohio Thursday eve. When I got home from work - Max was in his usual spot on his bed in the mud room. We played a bit- and then I opened the door from the mud room to the kitchen. Max was just sitting there while I took my shoes off. OK- BIG clap of thunder and HUGH strike of lightening... Max is up - across the kitchen floor- down the hall and in the den- before I could hardly get my shoes off and follow him!!!! We've been wondering if Max doesn't get up and run while we are gone Later that night - when it was bed time- I tried to get him to walk across the floor... he sat down at the edge of the kitchen and wouldn't even begin to try to cross the wood floor.... had to lift his hinds quarters and help him across the floor..... Thunder + Lightening = BIG rush of adrenalin (sp) |

That's funny!
I found that rubber backed throw rugs from Target really helped Chum get around. |

Yay Max! We could call it lightning theropy!
I used a yoga mat a lot with my beloved Bart. |
Bet if you held a piece of cheese he would walk across the floor to get it.

Yep, I have ugly rugs around for Fox. Poor baby, hell getting old. |
amen to that |
Have you tried paw wax? It works pretty well (when you remember to use it ) |
You could also try a product called Show Foot. It's an anti-slip spray for their paw pads. It works quite well.
