So. Pros and cons of different dial-up services? I don't want AOL. |

The cost difference now between dial up and high speed is not that much, I could never, ever go back to dial up now. |
Is there a NetZero-type service in your area?
It is dial-up that is free if they have a number local to your area (i.e. your computer will not be making a long-distance call). They make it free by having slightly annoying advertisement banners at the top or bottom of your screen. |
I had Juno for a very long time. Very reliable, and cost like between $4.99 for 150 hrs a month and $9.99 for unlimited use. |
I'd rather have nothing than dial-up. Those few extra dollars are really worth it. |
Call AT&T. If you have a phone basic DSL is $14.99 a month.

You have to be in a DSL capable location though. They can tell you from your current phone number or address when you call them. |
