You have to search for "sheepdog" "sheep dog" "shaggy dog" "shaggy" and do the search in each category, and scroll through page after page of stuff that has nothing to do with Old English Sheepdogs, and on, and on. So I decided to just keep searching and searching and find as many sheepdog-related items as I possibly could. Then I put them together on a page, that's hopefully a little fun to look at, even if you're not in the market for sheepie stuff. One of the items is a $350 (on sale for $308) 19" ceramic sheepdog that's just darling! And she has a cute 6" $35 little sitster, "too"! (You'll see what I mean ) Anyway, here is the page, and the best part is... if you do decide to buy something from Amazon, and you follow a link from that page, oes.org will get a little commission that will help oes.org become self-sufficient! How cool is that? http://www.oes.org/html/sheepdog_merchandise.html Let me know what you think of the page. Also, let me know if YOU find something else sheepie related on Amazon.com. If it's ok, I can add it to the page (with a little "found by <your screenname>", if you like!) for everyone to see "your" Amazonian hunting skills! |

thanks Ron! I'm thinking about the spinning books......gotta do something with all this OES and Pyr hair. I've been giving it away to spinners, but maybe it's time to keep it and learn what to do with it. |
Ohhhh there are so many things I want! I'm going to send the link to my parents with a subject heading 'hint hint xmas' LOL

I've been looking for that little OES book. The first thing that Carl ate when he came home was my last copy! |
Thanks Ron. Yes I think my favorite is Knitting with Dog's Hair. I never heard of such a thing. I wish I had time to figure that out. But if anyone wants some extra fur, I have plenty to give |
These are great links, thanks Ron!
Okay, while we are on the topic of sheepie goodies, I am hoping some of you might know or remember seeing what I am looking for and can lead me in the right direction. A few years ago, probably not long after Big Ben moved in, there was a website with little sheepdog ornaments and decorations. They were made of fake fur and the owner had many different designs, i.e. a sheepie with a witch hat for Halloween, a mamma and her puppy, etc. If I remember correctly, they were fairly small - something you would put on an end table or nick-nack rack? They were incredibly adorable but I didn't buy any at the time. I've been searching the web for a while now but haven't found anything. I really thought I found the original site via a link from another sheepdog site; maybe a kennel or a rescue? I just can't remember anymore. Who knows, maybe the owner is no longer in business. On a good note (well, not good for the wallet) I've found lots of other cute sheepie goodies! Does anyone ever recall seeing these? |
