Ankle Problems

My OES has sprained both his ankles in less than a year. My understanding is that it is unusual for dogs to sprain their ankles at all. My vet states that my OES might have weak muscles around his ankles and might need to see an orthopaedic surgeon. Does anyone else have this problem with their OES or suggestions or experiences like this? Let me know.

Jake has sprained his ankles repeatedly over the years.

We finally figured out that what was happening was he was falling down the stairs when we weren't around. We figured this out because he finally fell down the stairs when we WERE around!
