This is the toothbrush that I have for each of the dogs. And I buy the dog toothpaste. They love the taste of the toothpaste and I try to do it about once every couple of weeks.

I tried that same toothbrush, and my dogs hated it. Maybe it was operator error....
I went to the one that is like a finger cot with bristles - green and just slipped on your fingertip. I like that it is soft and I can tell where I'm actually scrubbing. Otherwise, I just use a washcloth in the tub during baths and and also with routine face washing. I do it 1st, before I get soap on the cloth. |
That is one weird looking toothbrush! |
Yes, I do. Our cat had had gum problems in the past when we adopted him, so the vet told us teeth brushing was a must. He absolutely loved it (poultry flavor ) and it really did make a huge difference in his breath and appearance of teeth, so we decided to try it on Harley-- the cat is slightly easier, but harley likes the flavor, too, so not too hard to get him to go for it. I just use a regular brush (from the vets, but just like a human one). Perhaps I don't do a completely thorough job that way, but I think something is better than nothing.
I also give him rawhide bones to clean his teeth-- those have worked wonders. You can tell just by looking at the whiteness. |
