No, that really didn't happen! Where were the failing feet, the slipping, the trembling body, the attempts to escape........you mean dogs will truly stand still for baths?

Yes, they do! Chewie loves water, so that probably is part of it. He walks right into the tub at bathtime. Nice and slow, foot by foot. No splash, no dash. Then he stands there and waits to be bathed.
He is not perfect however. He loves to get dirty and muddy just as well as any sheepie! |
No way... I think you are making this up.
Maybe you did bring home the wrong dog? Sounds like this one got dirty just so he could get a bath. lol Pepsi hates the bath, I literally have to drag him into the bathroom. Then when I lift his front paws to get him to go in he usually piddles a little and usually on me |
Harley is the calmest dog in a bath I've ever seen-- he goes to sleep sometimes.
The last time we gave him a bath, he was in a sit, leaning against the tub wall, and his eyes were shut, and he was dozing. He takes treats during a bath and hops right into the tub himself, so I know he's not still from fear. He also likes the blow dryer, too. I feel so lucky-- I know bathtime can be a huge chore with some dogs (my last dog being one). |
Could Simon teach Miley that trick? She shakes like a leaf in the tub- the big baby. then comes the escape attempts.
What a Good boy!! |
That is so great! It sure makes bath/clean up time easier. Violet has always been good about taking a bath for us. I won't take credit for that because she was 9 mth old when we adopted her from a rescue and the man who ran the rescue trained her. She will walk right to the bathtub and step in with the front, needs to be help a little with the back, but does great. China, my Aussie on the other hand is a different story. lol |
That's the cutest story. |
He sounds like a real smart loveable fellow |
