Everything! The small dental bands are nice but I use whatever of mine that's lying around too. I also like the Goody Stay Put elastics-- it's a regular nylon elastic with rubber wound around it. Those stay in all day even with play. |
Man, I forgot what they're called but I get them at Wal-Mart and I don't think I will ever use anything else! I'm 99% sure they're used for people who put braids in their hair (when they braid every few inches of their hair).
They come in assorted colors and 3 sizes. All 3 sizes stay in SO well, and it's something you use once and dispose of (because they stretch out and break if you try to use it twice... however start off tight). They're cheap, so no biggie. I find the biggest size says in easily for a week, and I have someone who rubs their head on the couch all the time. I think it's because it is thin but stretches out so much that you can wrap it around a good number of times. They remind me of the dental bands people use... not sure if that's what they are, but definitely what they look like. The Goody stay put ones are good too, but for Yuki... slip out easier than this. Still good though. |
I just bought a pack of those same rubber bands! (the assorted colors, 3 sizes)
I haven't opened them yet. I plan on using the boy colors for Chewie, and Breanna gets the girl ones. Sounds fair to me! Oh, and LeAnne said Clay's hair is growing out enough to put a little ponytail in his. He came over tonight and it is cute! She can't wait until he grows out more - she wants to keep him in a longer coat. |
We use regular colored rubber bands for Bingley's hair because it is what we have around the house. I usually put a new one in about 2-3 times a day, but I put them in kindof loose. Otherwise he would scratch out half his coat trying to get his hair undone.
My breeder uses the no-pull bands that aren't supposed to stick to the hair as much. She likes them but I have found that they aren't nearly as flexible as other bands. I have another friend who just started using a regular metal barret in his 5-month-old's hair. Apparently it doesn't bother the pup at all and if it happens to fall out he isn't interested in eating it! I guess it depends . . .! |
I use the Goody's Stay Put elastic bands. I found that they don't pull the hair out that much. |
