For me, I would definitely go with the adult food. If she does well on it and eats than it is much better than not eating at all. There are several breeders who even request that a puppy normally go on adult food around this time, so I don't think it would hurt. |

Are you sure they discontinued it? I would check at another store...they still carry it at the stores where I am. According to the Eukanuba website they have changed their packaging. I would call around to pet stores near you and get her what she likes. I have always fed my OES puppy food until they were 18 months old. |
I just checked the website and they have changed the line to puppy food by breed size. They have a lamb and rice but it is in the adult line and for medium sized dogs. The ones around you must be the transition bags between the old and new. If they still made it I would have ordered it online but the only lamb and rice was in the wet dog food for puppies and with all the recalls I think I will stay away from that. |
yes my mistake.... they only have lamb and rice medium breed puppy here, or lamb and rice adult (not sure medium or large breed) I am getting a puppy on friday, I have switched my crew to a mixture of Iams puppy and Eukanuba med breed puppy. I am using the chicken as mine do not do well on lamb. |
Congrats on your new addition and please post pictures. Thank you so much for all your help and research. It is really appreciated. |
