A gift for the Easter Bunny
My mom is just the best, she figured after years of dedicated service and chocolate eggs she would treat me to something special. My own EDIBLE TIKI HOUSE!!!!! Me and Squeak are also enjoying our X-pen in which we can enjoy munching on fresh grass and yummy dandelion leaves. We are in heaven!!! Whoooo hoooooo! Yes folks that is Frank Sinatra serenading us to our new digs. 
Squeak tries to pry my secret of how I eat grass and have chocolate eggs come out of my....(coughs) NO WAY it's a secret and I can't tell or else my boss the giant Flemish Easter Bunny will take away my egg bearing gifts. So for now I just want to say Hoppy Easter. PSSSS Puff any chocolate eggs yet? Huh? Please?

I was blessed this past Christmas when parents and kids chipped in and gave me the ultimate Pet lovers Ideal gift....gift certificates to Petcetra!!!!!  Really this was such a fantastic gift for me!
I actually purchased the items a few months ago when they were on sale for 1/2 price and got a great deal on both. I was waiting for the nice weather which never seem to arrive on our Coast until this weekend. 
Armed with a purse full of gift certificates I walked into the large store and was like a kid in a candy store...ohhh what to get? Cat food/dog food? New collars? dog bed? 
Other sane people shopped for clothing, electronics or shoes on Boxing Day...not me....a Pet Supply Store..I was in heaven!!! Then it dawned on me to purchase something I normally would never be able to get and of course the smallest pets in the household deserved the occasional spoil. Puff and Squeak do have an outdoor play area but it's located under some tall tress in the yard (son's former playhouse in which the sand area had been converted to excercise area for them.) While nice and shady it doesn't have grass back there. The X-pen is awesome!!! Movable around the yard so they can enjoy a bit of sun and munch on the grass. It's the least I can do for the Easter Bunny! Blue, Merlin and Panda sit close and guard them and don't try to bother them either. No need for a lawnmower in those spots..ha ha...Now if I keep this up all summer, Puff and Squeak, and the soon to get new fosters, will have kept the grass short in an environmental friendly way.  |

When I was a little kid (very, very long ago  ) our neighbors had 2 pet guinea pigs and they had an ex pen they moved arounf their back yard. I remember going over there and watching them. We moved from there when I was in kindergarten, so it must have made quite an impression on me! |

| Kim, That's cause your kids were extra good this year, Puff tells me.
VerveUp and JCC - I'm not exactly sure (dunno what I did with the label) but the roof is made of straw/hay. Puff is a delicate little thing and doesn't dig even when given the opportunity. Probably stays so white as she's very good about grooming..they do it very much like a cat does. Wyn - Lol I was thinking the same thing! Honeymoon suite for Puff and her soon to be hubby Arthur..but she seems to prefer to sit on top of the thing while Squeak prefers to sit inside. Elissa - Happy Easter to you as well! GotSheep - It's amazing isn't it what impact certain things we did have on us as we grow up. Even now I love sitting close to the pen or outdoor area and watching them. I find piggies have the cutest faces..remind me of mini hippos. LOL Sheepie Mommy and Taskers mom..Yeah Ole Blue eyes!! He's actually a Christmas ornament that stands on a pedestal and when you press the button...He sings!!!! Marianne |

Marianne  Everything's fine, we've just been really, really, really busy. I've checked the posts, but I haven't responded much due to time. The boys are doing great. Brandon is in preschool now, and Jake is doing SOOO much better at school. He has turned a complete 360. He has only brought home big green faces for the last 2-3 months. He's enjoying school now, starting to talk to his therapist and teachers and asking them questions, and he's understanding the schoolwork. They're working on adding, subtracting, and fractions right now, and Jake is really great at math (didn't get it from me), so this is right up his alley. I think we're still going to hold him back next year though.
Brees is growing like a weed. She's 8 1/2 months old now and as sweet as she can be. The cats are doing great too - they've been out hunting a lot lately and have brought us a lot of presents...a baby snake, lizards, and a ton of baby moles. I guess they found a mole nest somewhere? Joy. We did have a good Easter. Jason had to work, so we spent it with my family. The boys had a lot of fun. I hope yours was good too.
