I sure do feel a lot better Boy, oh boy, am I glad about that. I was sure sick for awhile with a really bad thing called Parvo. I had to stay at this place that Mom says was a hospital. They were really nice there, but they kept poking me with these sharp things and I couldn't eat because my tummy hurt so bad. Mom and Dad would come to visit me several times a day and Mom would just hold me and hold me and sing this "You are my Sunshine" song. I loved it, but when Mom would start singing, Dad would make this funny face like his tummy hurt, too. I never wanted them to leave... especially since Mom's face was always wet and I didn't think she should go that way. After a really long time (Mom says it was 12 days), I finally got to leave the hospital place. All those really nice people at the hospital had wet faces when I left, but they were smiling and Mom was smiling and Dad's tummy apparently wasn't hurting any more because he was smiling, too! I got to ride in Mom's lap all the way home and when we got there, my buddy Jackson the Bichon was waiting. He was SO happy to see me!. He sniffed me here and sniffed me there and I sniffed him right back and then he showed me my crate with all my new bedding and wow! NEW TOYS! I decided that I had better be good because I didn't want to get sick again and leave this wonderful place to go back to that hospital. Mom fed me this really yummy food. Woohoo! And she even changed the backyard so that it is green instead of white (which was cold and wet). Mom likes it so much when I poo on the green stuff that she follows me around and saves my turds in a plastic bag. Every week we get to go visit more nice people that ooooh-and-ahhhh over me and Mom is so proud of my poo's that she gives them away as presents to these nice people. The people still like to poke me with sharp things, but they always give me yummy-tasting treats and tell me how good I am:) They say that things in my blood aren't quite right... something called WBC and Albumin, but that they're headed in the right direction. Whatever that means... it makes my mom happy and that's good enough for me. My mom got upset again when I got this awful cough and my pretty turds turned to mush. I couldn't help it -- it would just happen before I could let Mom know that I needed to go to the green stuff outside. She got so tired because she'd have to get up all the time at night to help me. She spends a lot of time on her hands and knees on the carpet. I thought she wanted to play, but she said she had to clean my messes instead. She took me back to the really nice people and they said I had some little bugs in my tummy that make my poop mushy. I had to take some more pills and eat really awful food, but at least I didn't have to leave home again. For some reason, my buddy, Jackson, seems to be getting smaller. We used to be the same size, but I look down on him, now. Mom and Dad like to play this game where dad stands on this thing called a scale (it must be really scary because Mom refuses to get up there). Dad's tummy must hurt when he gets up there because he makes a really funny face when Mom says he's 195. Then Mom picks me up and gives me to Dad and then all of the sudden Mom's tummy must hurt because she makes a funny face and I get all confused because all I know is that they think I'm too skinny. Okay, so I'll eat more... give me more yummy food! I am feeling better and better every day. Mom thinks the little bad bugs in my tummy have all gone away. I still have mushy poop but she thinks it's because the medicine they gave me made all of the good bugs in my tummy go away, too. I have more medicine to take, but this time it tastes really good probably because of all the good little bugs that are in it. She still must be proud of me, though, because she still gives my poop away as presents. I heard her and Dad talking the other day. They're worried because some of my hair has fallen out in clumps. I guess I must look pretty funny but you'd never know it because Mom always cuddles me and tells me what a beautiful boy I am. She thinks it's because I was so sick and didn't get enough nutrition when I was in the hospital. I think they should have given me the nutrition so she wouldn't be worried, but she said they couldn't and it's okay because she's giving it to me now. I get to go see the nice people again today. Mom says I have to until they like all the things they see in my blood. They'll poke me with sharp things again but it's okay because Mom said this time I get to get Shots! Oh boy, I'm not sure what they are, but I can't wait to get those Shots! I love to play... especially with my buddy, Jackson. He likes to race all around the green stuff and I try my best to keep up but sometimes my legs don't work properly. They get all tangled up and I fall down and start rolling. Mom laughs and says that I do somersalts. They're kind of fun, but I wish I could catch that Jackson. I love my rope. Jackson gets on one end and I get on the other end and we both pull at the same time. Jackson makes this funny grrrrrwwwwwllll noise and pulls and pulls but then I pull and sometimes I get it away from him. I love to jump around him and he tries to get it back. It must be pretty funny because it really makes Mom laugh. My favorite new toy is something called a leash. Jackson has one, too. Sometimes, I will grab Jackson's and pull him all around the house. He doesn't like it too much, but it makes Mom laugh again. Then Mom grabs mine and Jackson's and we go on this thing called a walk. Oh boy is that fun!! We haven't gone very far yet, but Mom tells me that as I grow bigger and get stronger we'll be able to go farther. She told me all about a lake that we'll walk around one day. I can't wait! Most of all, I like it when I get to cuddle with my Mom. She holds me and sings to me and rubs my tummy. Sometimes I fall asleep, I feel so good. Thank you all for caring so much about me. I wish I could give you all sheepie kisses because you've been so nice. Mom says I give really good kisses but I just need to learn not to use my teeth. I'm really happy and I can't wait to grow up to be a big, strong boy! |

Oh Elliott, I'm glad you wrote us that nice long letter! Pretty soon you'll be so big and strong that we won't recognize you. I'm glad you are feeling better and hope the bugs are gone from your tummy. I'm sending you a big kiss. |
Thanks for the update Elliot Glad to hear you are feeling better
You should ask your mom to take some pictures of you playing with your big brother. Then you can post them so we can all see you |
Elliott you are very lucky puppy to have such a good mom. It sounds like your mom has been very busy collecting those poopy presents to bestow on those people. But it looks like she might soon be able to partake in the more enjoyable aspects of motherhood and those poopy gifts will be a thing of the past.
Take care you little cutie pie and thanks for the update. |
It's nice to hear from you and I am glad that Elliot's health is improving. |

Dear Elliot,
Im so glad to hear from you. Ive been really worried. My mom told me all about you and what happened. It shouldnt be like that. I just know that you have one of the bestest moms out there...any mom that snuggles and gives you belly rubs is awesome.....but I would watch out for that singing thing....I dont know what your mom sounds like, but boy when my mom starts singing "In the Jungle.." I just have to dance and sing along with her....dad laughs at us and usually throws a pillow at mom..... Welcome home Elliot. I cant wait to see what a cute little brother I have! Love and Kisses, Panda. |
Elliott what a good boy and tough little cookie you are! Glad to know you are well on the road to recovery! |
