Has anyone used this rear leash before- and if so- have you had good luck - and is it a good quality? We still need to support Max for his longer walks and excercise-and I have been searching to find something better than that darn belly strap. John leaves for a week trip Saturday and I need to find something FAST! I have MS and don't always have the best upper body strength to hold him with the strap. Don't want to slow down his progress what so ever- and this looks like it would be pretty easy to use... any comments or real life experiences would be appreciated!! http://www.handicappedpets.com/resleash/ |

Not exactly. Our basset rescue had a girl (basset) that was hit by a car and left on the side of the road. She had a broken pelvis. My friend fostered her through her rehab. They used a pelvic sling very similar to that. It worked very well.
BTW - Madeline made a complete recovery and is in her new forever home. Ok, more info: It is a Walkabout, this is the website: http://www.walkaboutharnesses.com/harnus.html The one called a rear harness, with the double handles like a shopping bag is the one we used. It has a neoprene sling body part, and nylon handles. If you click on "homepage" you can see a color picture of a similar style. My friends also suggested checking on ebay. |
Chummie hates the walkabout harness. Somehow the fabric between her legs is too distracting.
My dogwalker has a senior arthritic dog and she loves the rear end support leash. |
Abuckie I don't have any suggestions about this rear leash, sorry.
I just seen your new Avatar picture of Max and I had to say 'He is smiling now '. I felt so bad a while back when you had posted that you were so sad to think that Max was in so much pain that you never seen him smile. I just had to tell you how great that picture is and ' his eyes are smiling now' Antoinette |
