i am a HUGE beef jerky fan, and i've made it at home once. i actually used a recipe from alton brown (from good eats) and enjoyed it, but i'm always looking for new ideas. (this one uses a fan and air filters rather than a dehydrator, quite an interesting texture). i was just wondering if anyone had ideas for good spices or marinades they use, or what cut of meat (i believe i used flank steak..) |

I haven't made any in a while, but the best stuff was teriaki lamb jerky. I actually made lamb and beef in the same marinate, and everyone liked the lamb better.
I just made up the marinate - teriaki sauce, worchestershire sauce and a little liquid smoke. We did ours in our dehydrator. Yumm! |
