As a child, I loved Kraft with one extra slice of cheese on top, sprinkled with paprika. Yum! But, now that I'm older, I can only take homemade!!! Of course it depends on who makes it. I don't like the plain crap people make. I like mine with at least 4 difference cheeses. I'm drooling now (where's that icon!) Easy Mac is the most disgusting thing on earth to me. |

I voted Homemade, because my hubby makes the BEST homemade M&C in the WORLD
If I'm on my own for dinner though, the boxed kraft stuff is pretty good, especially if you grate up some extra cheese to add in! |
I admit I have two boxes of the 4 cheese kraft in the
cabinet. There I said it. If I am going to have to eat it though, homemade all the way. (the boxed stuff is for the kids ) And NO pretend cheese either. No smellveeta for us - I don't think I've even ever bought it. I like Cabot Seriously Sharp if I can't get the good stuff at market. But it always seems to turn out better if I use a few different cheeses anyway. Shellie |
My kids love Kraft Dinner... good ole KD is always in stock here.
I don't cook so haven't made homemade, but my Dad makes homemade m&c occasionally and it's pretty good. |
I LOVE Mac & Cheese, as unheart healty as it is. Definately homemade with lots of different cheese and eggs. Because I don't eat meat and Doug does I often make it with his meat for my main dish and his side dish. I am sure that all the benefits of not eating meat are totally negated by al lthe FAT in the mac and cheese but SO WHAT BIG DEAL WHO CARES, it's MCARONI AND CHEESE |
I hate Kraft Dinner, I will only eat it if there is nothing else, and I am too hungry to cook.
Even the kids don't like it as much as they used to, its the one 'processed' food they will eat, the other being frozen mini pizza (which I will not eat even if STARVING) With the number of people here, its not practical to serve it for supper anyway. I'd have to make 6 boxes. |
I love my mom's homemade mac and cheese. But I also need an occasional "fix" of the good ole traditional kraft stuff. Somedays you just need a nice, easy meal! |
Went to grocery store after reading the ice cream thread and getting pizza and macaroni in my head. I came home with two things of ice cream and ingredients to make macaroni & oh so creamy tonight. |
i like home-made and kraft....but no matter which one i eat, I must squirt a large dollop of ketchup on it!! |
^
at least this time hearing that made me laugh instead of turn green. You're deifnitely unique! |
I love homemade mac & cheese but hubby is deathly allergic to cheese cultures, so on those nights he has a meeting a box of Kraft will do for me and my son for supper.
But if anyone would like to take pity on me and send me some homemade mac and cheese I would be happy to eat it. Afterall can't you tell from my pictures that I am starving. |
Homemade mac and cheese |
Well I HAD TO DO IT!!!!!!!!!
I made THE BEST Mac & Cheese last night, ate so much my belly hurt. I made a new recipe that was a conglomeration of several different. Can't give you exact measurements because I don't cook that way but: Cooked a bunch of macaroni Sauce: 1/2 stick BUTTER 1 can cream of celery soup 1 cup sour cream 3-4 cups of grated cheese (3 different types) 1 cup veleveta cut into cubes 1 cup milk 3 eggs I melted the butter in a sauce pan, added soup sour cream and velveta. Cooked till velveta was melted. Take off stove mix in grated cheeses. I beat the 3 eggs added milk, beat again. Add egg milk mixture to cheese sauce. Poor over macaroni. Bake 40 min @ 375 IT WAS TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WARNING- Artery clogging starts before the first mouthful is swallowed |

Yes, ketchup is a must. |
Tasker's mom... that's almost to the TEE what I used the other night for the recipe I have. Great taste! Velveeta is a must with the combination of cheeses! I like it creamy and yummy. |

I'm usually a cheese snob and turn my nose up at velveeta but macaroni and cheese just REQUIRES a bit of the gooey stuff. I also discovered the sour cream adds a bit of ZING |
Kraft and homemade. Haven't had velveeta cheese since I was a kid. THAT brings back memories, what's in that stuff anyway? I bet I would still like it on cauliflower though.
Tasker's mom that looks delicious but RICH. |
Rich is the only way to do maca-roooo-ni and cheese!!! |
