So what do you think is up with Starbuck...is she a Cylon? |
I've only JUST started watching 1st season on DVD...loving it...but I guess I'd better avoid this thread for a while, till I catch up! |
No, I really don't. The crazy, manipulative Cylon guy that grabbed her on the planet wouldn't have been so obssesed with her (and I don't think the cylons would've harvested her ovary in the first season) if she had been a cylon. I think she just somehow got transported to earth! It's got to be part of her "destiny" and maybe something to do with that vision she had.
Do you think the four that have been hearing the strange music are cylons??? I have trouble beleiving the chief is, beucase if he was, his baby would be half cylon too, and nobody really cares about his baby! It's all about Hera! I can't beleive they're going to make us wait until 2008 for the enxt season |
Those 4 are cylons. It has been confirmed by the writer/producer/director guy. There are a couple interviews you may be interested in. One at eonline.com by Watch with Kristen. TV Guide online also had an interview.
Basically he says they are cylons, but "different" than the ones we know. |

Since he is one of the final five the other cylons don't know he is a cylon and therefore don't know his child is a hybrid. |
So I wonder if they'll make a big deal of his baby too, when everyone else finds out? Wow, that is really mind blowing! I could certainly see Kara's husband, and the president's aide being cyclons, but the other two, that really surprises me! And if Kara finds out he's a cylon... man that dude is dead FAST! |
It is so weird because those 4 were very involved in and led the resistance on New Caprica. |
I know... maybe the writer is leading us all astray? Hard to tell until the season gets started again. Till then lots of food for thought! And who are the weird ladies who grabbed up on Gaius at the end?
On a side note, do you think they're setting up Ad. Adama and the president for a fling? Or is it just reinforcing the whole "mom and dad of humainty" roles? |
The girls at the end with gaius were his "followers"...the one wanted him to pray for her son who was sick.
I thought it was hilarious how Gaius thought that his lawyer and Lee actually liked him and would stay as part of his team or something. Everything I have read points to the Admiral and the President just being good friends, but they do hint at a romance. Part of it is that they are the two most powerful humans...so they can relate and talk to eachother as equals more easily than anyone else. |
