Help! Excitement peeing

Selah, my 16 month old is housebroken but she pees whenever she is excited. And since she is a 'wigglebutt' it can be quite a mess. I have googled the topic and tried training technigues that are suggested but it doesn't help.

Some of the things we've tried, don't make eye contact when entering room, never pet or talk too until they settle down. It doesn't help. She just looks at my husband and pees. She walks into the kitchen and if we go close to the treat jar she pees. If we walk outside and she is outside she pees. When we let her in the house she pees. Basically anytime she is happy and her butt is wiggling ... pee is happening. We don't make a big deal about it and never scold her because it isn't intentional so it isn't out of fear.

Anyway, any advise as to whether this is a behavior problem or a physical problem. I have read that the vet can either put dogs on meds or surgical alter that area. Do you think that is what I am dealing with? I haven't talked to vet about since our vet seems to be real quick to run all kinds of test to only say they are inconclusive. Heres your bill for $200 - $300 and an $8 prescription for antibiotic. I know I need a new vet.

Has anyone out there ever had this kind of problem? If so, what worked for you? We are willing to try anything. We have just been dealing with it hoping her bladder would mature and the problem would end but it is just as bad as a year ago. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

When I look at Panda it's hard to beleive she ever was or had any problems. She's such a cutie.
lol...panda is all sheepie...with all of the normal puppy problems....she would pee upon seeing brian...so what i had him do, was the second he opened the door to the house to NOT walk in but walk away from the door back into the yard...panda would follow and pee on the grass...there were still a few incidents but soon after she learned to hold it and go where she was supposed to....
I haven't tried the hubbie walking outside thing! But I will ... tonight! Glad my girl isn't the only one. I can wait till 2 yrs or so ... just starting to wonder if she needed medical attention. We just try not to make a big deal out of it because the more excited we get the more excited she gets.

Thanks,
