Notes: Petie is looking for a new home. Petie is 3 years old, 80 pounds, very friendly and seems to like other dogs. Petie has a lot of energy-therefore if you do not have the time to spend with him (running, walking etc) then Petie is probably not the dog for you. Petie can be adopted for less than $80-which includes his neuter, rabies vaccine, bordatella and parvo/distemper vaccines. If you are interested in Petie send us an email to kcacpets@yahoo.com and we will send you an adoption application.

I just called to leave a message and sent them an email about Petie.

Here is the auto-reply:

WE ARE NOT ON VACATION, THIS IS FOR RESPONSE PURPOSES ONLY. We handle all of our adoptions via email, we will telephone you if we need to speak with you. Once you send an email stating which pet you are interested in, we will send you an application for adoption which will begin the adoption process. In some cases it may take up to two days to respond with the applications, we are closed on weekends so please be patient. We will respond as soon as possible. Only one email per animal is necessary, to start the process. Thank You!

I already have three dogs and three cats. So even though I'd LOVE to give him a home, I don't think it is a good idea.

However, I am happy to drive over there to pull him out if he is running out of time.

As far as I know, there are not too many active OES rescue groups over here in CA. I understand it is better to let the rescue group handle it. I will try to find out if they can be of help.

Has anyone heard anything about Petie? He looks like such a sweet boy.
I am so frustrated because I have sent 2 emails and called 3 times without any success of getting any response.

Everytime I called, the recorded message says the kennel is extremely busy and asked me to leave a message. I left 3 but never got a return call

Anyone has any suggestion in a situation like this?

Thanks
Gigi
Gigi, are you close to where Petie is? A personal visit may be the only way to check on him.
I had thought about that but it is a 5 hours drive one way
Finally, my call was picked up and I was able to talk to the staff at the Animal Control. He was being adopted! Too bad the lady sounded very busy and really wanted to get off the phone, so I couldn't get much details from her.

However, it is a good thing he has found a home, hopefully a forever one...

Gigi
Thanks for all you did Gigi!
