With Ben Affleck, my favorite actor (main character from Pianist), and several other familiar popular faces, I didn't think it could be bad. Ughh.. two thumbs down. |

I haven't even heard of that one... |
I'm disgusted that viewers gave it a B-. I usually agree with them, and definitely enjoy anything with a B rating (from my experience).
This is what it's about from yahoo movies. Quote: The glamour of Tinseltown permanently fades for actor George Reeves, the heroic Man of Steel on TV's "Adventures of Superman," as the actor dies in his Hollywood Hills home. Felled by a single gunshot wound, Reeves leaves behind a fiancée--aspiring starlet Leonore Lemmon--and millions of fans who are shocked by his death. But it is his grieving mother, Helen Bessolo, who will not let the questionable circumstances surrounding his demise go unaddressed. Helen seeks justice, or at least answers.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. I thought it was really cool how they explored all the different angles of the George Reeves story and I learned a lot about it that I didn't know before about it. Of the two 40s period films that came out at this time (the other one being The Black Dahlia) this one was much better and far more interesting. Neither were as good as L.A. Confidential-- that's my favorite film of that time period. |
