Has anyone had a gallbladder attack? I think that may be what was happening to me. I know you are not supposed to diagnos(SP)yourself and I will go to the doctor but I just wanted to know and if it was what I was having. Intense pain moving from the middle of chest to the neck and shoulders. Every breath is agony. Moving is agony. Right arm got weak and shaky. It woke me in the middle of the night and continued through the next day. Took percocet every two hours hoping for some relief and it barely helped. Could not lay down as that was worse. Slept sitting up. Its say #3 now and only hurts when I take a deep breath. This happened 1 and1/2 years ago and I went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack and they ruled that out. They said it was chest wall pain. I told them where they could stick that. Something was wrong. I went to the doctor and without taking any tests or anything he said(after reading the ER report) that it was chest wall pain. Yea, right. I never went back to him. I'm going to make an appt with a new Dr. but I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else. Sorry for being so long and thanks for any help. Pam aka Simon's Mom |

You KNOW I'm going to tell you to go to the doctor!
That said, I've had pains like that, which were nothing.
GO TO THE DOCTOR |
Sounds like a case for Dr. House! |

Any chance you may be having a mild heart attack? Please go see a doctor. Please? |
Probably not gall bladder. That's a pain right under diaphram, slightly to the right and sometimes on the side. It is very intense. Emergency room doc said, "I have something that will knock it out immediately if it is gall bladder, if not, then we need tests." Of course within 5 minutes I was all smiles. Next day had the sonogrammy thing....can't think of proper name, LOL! Lots of stones. Surgery was a breeze.
Chest wall pain sounds almost ideopathic.....meaning they really don't know. Could it be esophagus spasms? Hiatal hernia? Any fever? We won't get into that .... That much pain, I'd be in the ER. Women's heart attacks are different than men's, not the "elephant on the chest symptom" but shouldn't be ignored. Especially with pain radiating out the arms. |
