I'll start: Mount Higgin's Abigail Courtney (Abby) Fuzzy Face's Rolls Royce (Spencer) Blue Panda's Eggbert (Bert) |
|
Chumley came with the AKC registered name "Lady Chumleigh of Keswick" - which must be pronounced with a fake British accent and a finky intonation. Imagine you were introducing her at an afternoon tea service, pinky extended while holding your cup. |
Oscar's is Hug's Oscar Wilde Child - which the little knucklehead has earned! |
Valerie wrote: Imagine you were introducing her at an afternoon tea service, pinky extended while holding your cup. My whole life has been spent that way, both in the conference room and the locker room.
I won't tell you where it was better accepted. I think Jake was "Sir Jacob Harley of Ledgemont" or some such Mulligan's papers have never been given to us. Now I have an excuse to call his breeder. |
Merlin is Tasia Hill's Wizard of Waterdown....
Avalon...well we don't know...I got the papers, found out that we needed the original owner to sign something, sent them back to the breeder who sent them to the original owner to sign and Joy never got them back. Oh well....doesn't matter, I'm pretty sure the original owner will not be knocking at my door for the return of Avalon. (who was originally Darby) So Avalon is Tasia Hill's something.....if I had to pick...I would use Tasia Hill's Dog Gone Too Much(maybe that is too many letters) Faith is a mixed breed rescue so no registered name with her either. And Scarlet will be Lakesong's Rhapsody in Red |
Barney is... Barney
or, if you prefer... Puppymill Rescue Sir Barnaby of Missouri |
Walter has no registered name, but he signs everything "Walter H. Dog" |
Panda is not registered either but her full name is Pandemonium...or if she is really misbehaving...Miss Pandemonuim of St. Havoc! |
I'm a big Beatle freak and a musician/songwriter...we thought we were being cute by naming Max...on his papers we wrote Maxwell Silver Hammer...after a song on Abbey Road...well the papers came back as Maxwell Silver Hammer XVI....the sixteenth!
My Stella Blue was named by my son after a Grateful Dead song. |
Pippin is Wynsilot's Mischevious Took...
Boy do I know how to pick em, or what. Note to self, do not name next dog after fictional character that mainly causes and gets into trouble! |
Dancer is Tasia Hills Dancing Light
Sky is Tasia Hills Evening Sky Panda is Blueshire's Panda Puff Girl (I didn't name her) Tucker is Blueshire's History Starts Now Bree is Lakesong's Breath Of SnowNAshes |
Bogart is
Cranberry Hill's Barrister Bogart |
Johnny is CH Fur Oaks SGT Pep'rmint |
Cooper's name is Tarawood's British Sterling. |
Bingley is Bizzeeboot's New Frontier |
My little darling is Fuzzibutt's Duchess of Earl and as I never could think of a call name I liked I just call her Dutch |
Barney is Herr Bernard Von Leopold, CD
Maggie is Dame Margaret Reginald, CD |
Since we spend a ton of time at our cabin on Lake Huron we decided to give Breena the AKC Name of - Breena by the Beach. She picks her name on most days somedays she will come to Breena other days its Bree or Breezy. What ever she likes that day is what she responds too. (Have I mentioned my dog thinks she's human) But after a nap or in the morning she is always my sleepy sheepie. |

Kelsey is Ch.Soblu Tryst of Diamonds

I never registered Clyde but he would've been Leopold Butters Stotch after Butters from South Park.
Bear is registered, but not by me and the owners never gave up the papers so I have rechristened him Wellington T. Bear after Cartman's teddy bear. |
Abby's is Lady Abigail Misty Blu. She has one blue eye. |
Hannah is a very original Ferree's Hannah Rose. |
None of mine are registered...
Rags' full name is Rags to Riches I found out Pepsi's former name a while after I got him so it became his middle name so He's Pepsi Clyde. |

Time for a confession...
when we got Bailey we didn't know anything about registering dogs. So the breeder gave me the paperwork to mail in when we decided on a name. I didn't know that I was supposed to include his breeder's kennel name So Bailey's registered name is Bailey Excalibur. He's not much for standing on ceremony so I don't think he minds. |
Our first Sheepie was the result of all the bad breeding OES.org tries to warn people about. It didn't take long before I could see that our little boy was not the brightest bulb in the pack. Since he wasn't going to be a real achiever, I thought he deserved a strong name. So he became;
Malcom Elliott Forbes Sheepdog. (still as dumb as a bag of hammers, but people were impressed with the name sake) Our second boy was completely opposite of Malcom, brilliant and beautiful. His official name was Bizzeeboy, which didn't fit at all. So I started a tradition by naming him after another great american, Oliver Wendell Holmes Wigglebum. Miss Ellie wouldn't hear of anything other than the name she arrived with, thank you very much. Our newest addition came to the family as Mt. Haggins Hubba Bubba. As goofy as the boy is on occassion, Bubba just didn't work. Soooo, we went with tradition of great americans and he became Warren Buffett. As each day passes, we find he's closer to being a Jimmy Buffett rather than Warren. But he's most responsive when called Buffalo |
How about Buffy? |
This is fun!
Our Ollie was Alice Acres Oliver Twist. Chewie is Masquerade Alice Acres Madness. And seeing LeAnne is too busy to post, her new boy Clay is Ch. Masquerade Montana. |
8)I adopted Violet from a rescue and at the time her name was Vilet I didn't want people to think I didn't know how to spell so I neaten up her name and added a middle name: Violet Jewel |

Oh man, Buff already has serious self-esteem issues, that would scar him for life. |
