What a journey Val... putting it all in one post like that really hits home what you and Chum have been through. Wow...
I admire your strength and perseverance, and Chum's indomitable spirit and will to live, you're quite the team. |
I don't know you did it. I would have been on drugs. I am glad things are better. It is hard to have your baby in pain. |
Such an amazing oddessy..... You and Chum are are an inspiration, Val.
So...now are you going to do a summation of YOUR recovery?? |
Wow, Val!!! |
I am so happy that your Vet in CO was able to find out what was really going on with Chumley. It was a long hard road getting there.
That last picture...she looks so vibrant! She must be feeling so much better. |
The smile on Chum's face say's it all, "Thanks Mom!" |
Thanks Val, putting all this together in one post, really does take us all on the long long journey with Chum and her road to miracles.
Moral of all this, is never give up She still amazes and astounds me your smiley girl, she is my Hero. |
oh that 2nd photo jut pulls at ones heart strings and then to follow all her troubles down to that last photo and she is so happy ,brings a big smile to ones face

WOW!!! |
You truly are an angel from God for her, Val. She's got a good bit of life ahead of her yet, all thanks to your perseverance and determination on her behalf.
And that last picture really does say it all - Thanks, Mom!! |
I agree with Jean, the two photos show the difference. Chums is so fortunate to have you for a mommy! How many others would have had the perseverence to find out what was wrong? |
I love that you put her medical journey all together like this. It's amazing how far she's come. Yeah for Chummie! |
Hi Val,
I realized I had looked over your post several times and was so touched by Chummie's story and your love as her mom , that I forgot to add my comment! I love Chum's story and yours - you are both special..so is Maggie! Marianne and the boys |

I did it because now there have been two more cases of sheepies with spinal surgery and I wanted a single place to reference in case anyone needs inspiration. She showed such spirit and willpower in between the crises. That's what encouraged me to keep trying for her. I am thrilled with how well Chumley is doing now. She is a happy dog. |
Absolutely amazing. She is such a special girl with an amazing will. You have done a wonderful job with her. |
This is amazing Val. Chumley's long road to health and your dedication to helping her get there has been such an inspiration to us. Reading the stories about her struggle- and now seeing her so happy- like a pup again! You are a very special Mom- and Chumley and Maggie are blessed to have you. I don't know how you did it- what strength you had to keep searching for the doctor with the right answers. THANK YOU for giving us hope, for believing in Chumley - and helping us believe that Max will run and jump and play again one day very soon!

What a remarkable journey for both you and Chum. To me both of you are simply amazing as is Maggie with her energy for life. I can't wait to meet all 3 of you. |
Just what I love, A HAPPY ENDING! Val your plight will now help so many people and give them hope.
You are truly a special individual Val! And Chum looks better now than ever. |
Aw, Val! I have tears in my eyes! Chum looks so happy in the last picture. You have come such a long way. Maggie and Chum are so fortunate to have you take care of them. XOXO |
