It was a little risky. I had to stop her a couple times from heading across the street when she would see people she wanted to greet. She almost pulled me over a couple of times. Plus she stopped frozen when she saw a beautiful black kitty and it was hard to get her to move. But all in all, it worked very well. She could motor off ahead and then while she was sniffing at stuff, I could slowly catch up. I would never have predicted that Chumley would be waiting for me! It was great to see her skittering ahead. She is really moving fast and happily. I'd love to figure out how to take video of this but I fear that would be truly dangerous. . . . Hmmm. . . |

Crutch Cam!
(Duct tape works wonders... LOL) I can only imagine what it would look like, bobbing up and down as you walk! Yay to be "on your feet"!!! |
Great news all the way around, Val! Bet you're glad to be up and (sorta) walking again. And what a transformation for Chum! You two are therapy buddies!! |
Great news! Nice to have a rehab buddie. |
I bet you two are a funny sight! A bit of the blind leading the blind!
I'm so glad Chum is so up and ready for action (and you too!) |
Be careful!! |
hahahaha....thats awesome, but a crutch cam would be funny.....however, dont hurt yourself... |
I'm all in favor for a crutch cam!! |
The crutch cam idea is great! Glad to hear how much progres you have made. |
Way to go Chummie!
Be careful Val!!! |
That was pretty ingenuitive, Val. It just makes my heart smile every time I hear of Chumley racing to the gate or running to greet people. A grin spreads slowly across my face and my insides just light up. It amazes me how well she's doing now.
I'm especially happy to hear that you're progressing so well, too. I know you'll be thrilled when you're totally mobile again. |
