Hi bcf!
Congratulations!!! She's absolutely adorable!!! Regarding size, this is what the AKC says: http://www.akc.org/breeds/recbreeds/olengshe.cfm They don't say anything about weight but I've heard anywhere from 60 to 100 lbs. We have an almost 10 month old male that goes by the name of Tucker. He's about 25 inches high at the shoulders, at the moment. Not sure of the weight, but probably around 65 lbs (he was 55 lbs in July). Congratulations again!! Suzanne |
Congrats!!!
Enjoy your little bundle of Black and White while she is still little, they grow up quickly. Bunker does that head cock all the time when you talk to her. Even when she has done something bad and you are giving her heck she still cocks her head. Bunker is 9 months old and she weights 62 lbs as of yesterday. She is about 24 inches tall, but she is solid. I only weight 92 pounds, so I hope Bunkie doesn't get any bigger. Congrats again. casearoo. |
These dogs...... are we sure that they aren't siblings? My goodness!
I love'em! -Ron. Red Bay, Alabama (today). |
Wow I'm so jealous! She's adorable!!!! Was it hard finding a breeder? Did you get the first pick out of the litter? How is life with your new OES?
Sorry if I'm being so nosy it's just that I'm really looking into these dogs and so far I have had SQUAT luck on finding a breeder that doesn't live in Australia! Well I'd love to hear how it's going!!!! Congratulations! Alex |
thanks for the reply. well, i just lucked out. a lady in new jersey was to get her but then her mother became ill so i was at the right place at the right time. she was in west virginia. a long drive for me but well worth it. she is a very sweet dog but is my first puppy and it took a lot of patience and learning on my part. we still have a very long way to go but i love her to death! we are starting puppy school on thursday...she has some MAJOR nipping issues but from what i hear, that's a baby oes for you. she likes to nip at my legs when we play and i just cannot stand another bruise/cut or to lose another pair of pants. other than that, she's the best. she just got a bath today and she smells wonderful! she's also starting to really understand the whole potty thing. last night we were running around the house and she was very excited...all of a sudden, she ran to the door and i got her leash on her and she bolted to the potty spot in the yard and went. i was so proud of her! well, sorry to go on but i'm a new mom...you know. hope you have some luck finding one of your very own. i found her at www.puppydogweb.com best of luck to you, bridy |
Hi. I just got my new baby. He is 13 weeks old and also seems to like dirt...just like any kid. This is my 4th consectutive OES...but the youngest one I've ever had. His name is Winston. I would attach a photo...but can't figure out how. Just thought I'd join in ...being so exited and thrilled with the new baby. |
Although this is my first OES and first dog I'll be keeping longer then three months (we gave our last one, a golden retriever, to my grandparents who live on a farm). I hope you're having as much fun with Winston as I am with Nelson. I can't believe it! I've had him for less then five full days and already I want another! I've even been dreaming up new names...but that's a while off.
Aren't these puppies just so much fun?! They make me squeal all the time, not too mention there have been tons of people flocking to me, telling me how Nelson looks just like a stuffed animal! Have fun with your puppy!!! -alex |
He is a blast...but full of the dickens. I am looking for a puppy preschool class in my area right now. I want to take him through to trial obedience. I think that would make a wonderful dog. Not that they aren't already. This is the only breed of dog that I really enjoy. I guess I am an OES snob. I have to out for the night time necessities now. Good luck with your new baby. |
