So I'm trying to find some victorian style inspired vanity lights in oil rubbed bronze.... Not as easy as you would think. The only ones I've been able to find either were the wrong colors (chrome and brass abound!) the wrong style (too colonial, not victorian) or too big (One set hangs between the window and the ceiling... so really the lights need to hang facing down, not up). I've tried the big box stores already... any ideas for a good spot to try online? The have to be fairly affordable too... not more then $100.00 a fixture max. Anybody??? Designer Goddess Darcy??? HELP! |

Cookie=Yes I googled "bathroom light fixtures" and found this: http://www.lightinguniverse.com/catalog ... ghting.asp for example $114...simple and elegant http://www.lightinguniverse.com/product ... sku=406116 |

Kar,
check out www.Rejuvenation.com I found my old school house ceiling fixtures there....I didnt think the prices were bad at all... |
http://www.rejuvenation.com/engine/inde ... epart=W474
here is an idea...you can customize them to be whatever color you want....just go thru and look at the style then the base price, customize color and see what the final price will be..... |
Thanks for the link Darce! I'll check that out |
Lowe's has an awesome selection for a minimal budget if you aren't looking to spend over $100.00.
You get more bang for your buck and you can even purchase your own custom glass shades at Lowes too (for wall fixtures, sconces, etc). Tons of colors and styles to choose from. I've seen vanity fixtures (from $20-90) and single sconces from ($18-66)a piece ...from wrought iron to chrome and everything in between. I'm in the midst of a re-do in my master bath and it is victorian as well.... Michelina~ |
Thanks Michelina... unfortunately, there isn't a lowes anywhere by me They're few and far between in MN. Sigh. |
You could cruise down to Owatonna - they have a Lowes now. |
Here are some idea's that you can look at online. Below is a 3 light bronze fixture, and you can pick the glass yourself (under $25.00).....OR
