reading susans list brought another memory back to me....I remember going with my mom to downtown Detroit to the Detroit electric company where we picked up free replacement light bulbs. They also fixed any broken appliances like irons, electric skillets etc....I dont know if those were free, but I distinctly remember free lightbulbs.....because mom freaked out when we actually had to pay for them  |

OMG, I remember WAY too many of these!!!  Not all, but a lot. And some were from when I was just a wee bit of a lass in the 50's, but I remember them just the same. Ugh, am I old! |
