I joined the forum a couple of days ago and just have to share a story. We adopted our Sheepie from Colorado Rescue in June of 2005. Now Sebastian has a really looooong tongue. Thus it is hard to see what he grabs off the ground. One morning I heard my husband tell him to let go. Now, I'm upstairs and I hear "Sebastian, let go. Drop it". Well, they had just gotten back from a morning stroll. Being the good boy he is(Sebastian, not my husband ) , he dropped it. Well "it" happened to be a piece of pizza. My husband has no idea when he picked it up, but Sebastian had been walking holding a piece of pizza in his mouth. He never tried to eat it, he just wanted to carry it. Now I like to think he was bringing the "prize" home for me. Too funny! Anastacia |

lol....not only is he a funny boy, but smart as well....from what i hear, there are some willing to eat cold pizza for breakfast |
I love cold pizza for breakfast, but from my fridge, not the ground!
Welcome to the forum. Sebastian sounds like a character. We loves stories and pictures. Especially pictures! |
LOL We need to see a picture of this tongue!
I thought Harry had a long tongue at times but not enough to snatch a piece of pizza unnoticed! LOL |
I submitted a picture of Sebastian and his tongue. Hopefully it will be uploaded to my photos soon |
WHAT A CUTE PICTURE OF YOUR DOGS!!! I love that tongue.
whatever you're feeding your dog must be the best stuff EVER b/c there is no way my dog would carry it around w/o eating it. |
Very funny!! Was the good boy allowed to eat his prize? |
LOL Too funny.
Great pic by the way |
My hubby said the pizza was pretty gross by the time they got home. So it was thrown away. I did give him plenty of treats for being a good boy. My other sheepie, Dohdee was thrilled, because she got treats as well. |
Mama mia! Pizza delivery to your door by Sebastian.
Bet it was all that cheese that captured his interest. What a sweet guy to bring it home to share. Its the thought that counts............... |
LOL at the antics and great pictures |
What a good boy -Pizza delivery job! Great photos, too. |
What a thoughtful sheepie!!! |
Today my long tongued pizza boy was sleeping-his tongue is so long it curls under his chin. As he was dreaming, his tongue was flipping up and down as he was "running". I took video of this-of course the camera was shaking as I was laughing so hard... |

He's dreaming of his new business slogan== "7 days without pizza makes one weak."(rocco DiPalma) |
How funny about the Pizza.
I had a Boxer with a really long tongue. Always stuck out. Dohdee and Sebastian are adorable!! |
Those pics are soo funny!! It looks like his tongue is so long that it can't even fit it in his mouth! |
I think I have seen his tongue in his mouth maybe once Don't ask my how. You should see it after a walk when he is panting |
Here is my Boxer Roxie and her tongue
She almost gave an old man a heart attack the one day. We were walking and I guess the man couldn't see me as I was hidden from the street by a big tree. Roxie was on an extension leash, but to him it looked like she was loose. He honked as he got close to I guess make her aware that a car was coming, she turned around and looked at him with the same expression as above. I saw the guy grab his chest and swerved in the road. LMAO |
Too funny! Love the picture! When Sebastian drinks it takes him forever and water goes everywhere. We actually wrap a towel around his chest because his legs get so wet. Hahaha... When we first adopted him, he was drinking laying down and he was slirping the water as if he was using a straw. My husband calls it "washing his tongue". |
Elissa, that picture is hilarious!!!!!! I probably would have had a heart attack too! Cutie though, in a strange way.. |
Oh what a cute story! He sound like he would be a hoot to live with! You really need to bring him to an art-in-the-park kind of event and let a comic artist draw him - it would be adorable!!!!! |
LMAO ................
I don't think I ever seen a tongue that long on a dog .............. He is the Gene Simmons of Old English sheepies............. Oh and Welcome to the forum. Antoinette |
He IS the Gene Simmons of sheepies! If we hadn't named him Sebastian, Simmons would have been a good one. Sebastian fits him so well. He is very shy and afraid of thunder, so then he is called "Boo Boo Scared Boy". He's getting more confident with time. We adopted him when he was 6 years old so you never know the experiences before us.
BTW-Thanks for the welcome note to the forum! Anastacia |
