Darcy, you're not particular about what you want at all, are you? I'd go with pizza...chinese makes me sick, even though I love the taste. |

UMMMMMMMMMMMMM, not sure about THAT. Chinese sauces are VERY HIGH in oil/fat. About the only thing low fat would be steamed vegies. I tell my pts to STEER CLEAR of Chinese restaurants. That being said MY CHOICE would be CHINESE Just because I tell patients how they SHOULD eat doesn't mean I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Joan, we have a WONDERFUL new Mexican (REAL MEXICAN) rest here, unfortuantely also high in fat , BUT I do love Mexican tooooo |
Just got chinese.
thanks guys. i thought i wanted pizza, but was convinced i was craving chinese. uhhh... power of persuasion? the girls i'm watching didn't care either way. they love both. |
MMMMMMMM, now you have ME CRAVING CHINESE
My FAVORITE is Kung Pou Chicken with out the chicken which is basically hot spicey vegies with LOT AND LOTS of peanuts. My local Chinese restaurant makes it just for me with LOT AND LOTS of red pepper |

Wow, your restaurant sounds great! What is your favorite? I just ordered a Cancun enchillada (seafood) and salad. Got a 4 enchillada meal for Bob. Its fun and good is great! Just have to add more dance classes |

My local Chinese restaurant makes it just for me with LOT AND LOTS of red pepper yuck yuck yuck.....i hate nuts especially peanuts in anything...i like the sauce but not real nuts....yuck...and no chicken??? Protein is good for you....you need some to break up the gas you may have from all those veggies |
Oooh, remember when George on Seinfeld had kung pau and was sweating and his boss thought he was guilty of stealing? That episode made me try kung pau and I loff it (mild though). My faves though are barbeque pork fried rice and egg rolls. And sweat and sour chicken. And General Tso chicken. And egg foo young.
I'm mighty partial to pizza too. Pepperoni. Or sausage and mushroom. |
Want some homemade non fattening chinese? Come over to my house Dinner serves at 6:00...
-gigi |
That would be great Gigi!!!! WOW, I'd love some real stuff.
I'm Asian as well, and that's always my hesitation w/ordering at a restaurant. I'm too picky. But this time, I was just hungrry. edit: i just realized i told you I was Asian as if my username wasn't a dead give away! |
really? that's what your user name comes from? I always thought it was spanish-derived or something (even though I know you're asian)...hmmmm, learn something new!
Yep, the only non fattening things at chinese restaurants tend to be steamed things. They can make the chicken steamed, too, so that's not bad to have brown rice and steamed chicken and veggies...mmmm and then the soups usually are pretty good too. |

what?!?!?!!? anyway, the food was horrible. of course the girls liked it. they're kids. everything tasted watered-down. the orange chicken was fried chicken with this terrible lemon sauce just barely drizzled on. I didn't even bother w/it. the only thing that tasted good was the fortune cookie. said i will have a long happy life in bed. who would have thunk it?! |

And here I thought it was a conglomeration of your first, middle, last name and maybe the dogs and little J.............. |
oh goodness.. maybe it wasn't as obvious as I thought.
means I like, I love... in korean and for the record, yuki isn't a spanish word. |
lol, and I thought I knew you!
I thought it was a mix of partial words too... |
You are too funny...
I did realize it was korean, but had no clue what it meant. Back to food..... I had lunch at Chipotle's. Now that is some excellent mexican food!!!! I had the vegetarian burrito bowl. I usually get pork, but today I couldn't decide. So, if you get veg, you get their wonderful homemade gaucamole instead of meat!! It was wonderful.... |
In fact, your Username sounds Asian but I couldn't tell which one exactly. I thought you were a Japanese because Yuki sounds Japanese
AND... Korean have the best skin and they DON'T age!!!! Not Fair Chinese food from the restaurant are mostly very greasy. Homecooking is much much healthier. Other than steaming, there are also boiling, stewing and some other methods I don't know the English terms. The tastes come from the herbal seasoning instead of those unhealthy sauce or gravy. I almost never exercise except for walking the dogs. We don't eat out because we don't want to leave the dogs at home (do I sound pathetic??) But even without exercise, I am quite slim. -gigi |
Ginny, Ginny, Ginny. Don't worry about the fat so much. Worry about the carbs that cause high triglycerides and the salt that causes acute CHF.
The fats... they can worry about them when it's time to remove the stents that will be recalled by then. |
